Hey buds, one of my veggin plants in my 5 gal bucket is turning a light shade of yellow, mostly from the middle to the top of the plant. 9th week in vegg state, and growing healthy besides the yellowing. I'm stumped, what is the plant lacking????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

True it could be nitrogen. What kind of light are you useing ? My new hortilux eye bulb makes my plants look like that but they are fine. When they grow out they darken up.
Just a quick question...
Why are you vegging it so long? Has it preflowered yet?
If its been vegged for 9 weeks it probably wants to flower now, and by not turning the lights on 12/12 you may be pissing it off.
But saying that, i could be very wrong, i was just enquiring.

I have a MH 250, with HPS conversion set up. Why am I veggin so long? It's my first grow, and I thought bigger is better when veggin. What's the easy way of suppling nitrogen to the roots ??

Have you thought that it might be too much water?
How do you water and for how long?

I have a MH 250, with HPS conversion set up. Why am I veggin so long? It's my first grow, and I thought bigger is better when veggin. What's the easy way of suppling nitrogen to the roots ??You need to flower that baby...Alot of new growers, and I myself did it my 1st grow...make the mistake of vegging too long.
What happens is the plant is going to overshadow itself once you flower...and the 250w hid you have won't penetrate very far into the foliage.
In the future, veg to about 18" and then flower...usually a plant will grow to 36-48" depending on strain, environment, nutes and lighting; After transition to 12/12 photoperiod.
You will find that if you veg a plant smaller and keep good light penetration on the majority of said, smaller plant, then your buds on this smaller plant will weigh just as much as the million little buds you get on your 6 foot tree, under a 250w hid, on which the light has no penetration past 6-12"s.
hope this helps, and makes sense. lw:smokin:
