can anyone explain how a popper/shotty works?

ok i was reading and i saw thing bong called a popper it is supossed to give you a head rush or something i dont understand how it uses very little ad gets you high? my bong i have takes a fair amount of weed compared to grav hits. can someone help me?

I've never tried it myself, but what I've heard of it is this: you have to sniff a little bottle with that thing in, and you get a high of aprox 15 min. It's also a beloved gay-drugs, because it relaxes your ass-muscle. lol

A shotty is a waterpipe where the stem is blocked with a piece of cig or weed, and it is essentially a carb for the waterpipe. As you draw the smoke into the chamber the air pressure builds up around the stopper until it 'pops' into the chamber - the release of the air pressure acts like a carb and forces air into the chamber and the smoke into your lungs - really really quickly.

a popper, in my experience, is best done with a plastic bottle with water, and a stem with no bowl...you put some tobacco in the stem, and some bud on top of that....you lite it, and hit it as hard as possible, the bottle should crush up....then, when its cashed, the stuff will fly into the water, and that stem is your choke'

the shottie that pulse is refering to is the same as what flamingskullballs explained.

a nice pub trick is based on the same principal:

when you buy a new pack of smokes, take the silver/gold paper off the top and roll it up into a tube. Pull the plastic wrapping halfway off the bottom of the pack of smokes. Burn a hole in one of the shorter sides of the wrapper and put the paper tube inside. Light the tube and watch the smoke fall into the wrapper like a waterfall.

A shottie is exactly the same thing except the chamber creates a vaccuum until the cig pops inside - all the smoke fills the chamber and you get one massive hit.
