well when it extracts i try to look in the path it extracted to. i click on the install file, another box opens and i click unpack and it does so but then nothing.

if so you could burn it to a CD and then install it

or is it one those those compressed ones where it takes forever to unpack

u may need a no-cd crack, u need to replace the original .EXE file withe no-cd crack .EXE file, i can find one for u but cant be sure it will work, u might have to try a few, but their small downloads anyway... hope that helped and i'll try find a link for u if u need it :D

The best bit is to get a bittorrent all of the stuff ive downloaded from them are fine and they always work, and its faster than using p2p programs like kazaa, bearshare and limewire imo.

So you were able to get winrar installed?
If so then open the file you downloaded with winrar. it'll show you everything in the file, unpack everything to a place you can find (like c:\callofduty). after it extracts, go to that folder. You will either have a disk image (ISO, BIN and CUE etc..), or a bunch of more rar files. If it's a disk image then burn to disk, if it's more rar files, then repeat the previous step until you get a disk image.

Ohh an on another note. If you can install a bit torrent app like azereus or bit tornado, then try getting your stuff at mininova.org. Really handy cause they have a comments area for each torrent that people actually use. Easy to see what downloads are gonna cause you pain.

I can get you the serial, but the demo mode will let you do everything the full one does (except a popup window ragging you about the trial). I've had the demo installed for years. I just open the file and close the demo mode disclaimer...voila.

say you have the newest version which I believe is 3.51
you type somthing along the lines of "WinRar 3.51 serial numbers" or "WinRar 3.51 registrarion numbers"

and you should find some sites that have the serials on it.....

DO NOT download files off sites that say they have serial numbers!!!! most of the are bad shit....the one I posted above lets you view the numbers....you dont have to d/l anything to view them...

if u got a dvd burner they have the ISO copies of call of duty 2. You download the ISO, burn it to DVD and you have ac opy of the game that is exactly like a bought copy

If you haven't allready, install a torrent client (I like bit tornado). Once installed, click on a torrent to open it with the client. Choose where to save to and your set. Go to bed and maybe in the morning you'll have a new game :thumbsup:

yea, the basic bit torent client works fine. I just like bit tornado cause it's easy on resources when you only have one torrent running and you can see how many seeds and stuff you have (so you don't have a torrent running for days with no whole copies out there to get).

You shouldn't have to open bit torrent (when it installed it associates itself with .torrent file types). Here's a basic walkthrough.

1. Find a torrent and download it (somewhere you can locate it like my documents or the desktop).
2. Once downloaded, find the torrent and open it.
3. Bit torrent should automatically open and ask you where you want to save the game to.

Watch bit torrent and make sure you get connected and it starts downloading. There may be issues if you're behing a firewall.

Are you on a network and connecting through a router (wireless or regular)?

Once it's done downloading, we may be dealing with the rar issue again, but let me know what torrent you get and we'll see what's in it.

damn the speed is slow. its highest is 2kb. what gives?, i got broadband.

sometimes it can take a few mins to connect to the seeds. Ususally bad speeds is a result of blocked ports (hardware and software firewalls are to blame there). It took me some messing around with the setting of bit torrent and my router, but now i download anywhere from 200-400k with torrents with high seeds.

I dunno about faster, but youd be able to see how many seeds and peers your connected to. Plus it has a little warning light to tell you if theres a problem (green light is a go).

It seems your video card isn't supported by the game. I found this thread regarding call of duty 1. If you're unable to get COd playing, then there's a really slim chance that Doom 3 will run. It requires a beast of a system to run it. I haven't even tried Doom till I get more memory (I only have 384 megs of ram).

nvidia geforce and ati radeon chips seem to be popular. I got a radeon 9250 with VIVO for around 60 something bucks and it seems to work pretty well for games and recording shit.

ok i see a few of em on ebay around the same price you bought it for. this shit sucks, my friends sister bought the same exact pc as me and got a different video card that games work on. this is my second pc and i dont know how i keep gettin stuck with these bullshit via cards.
