Hey all

I am a a noobie grower with a set of 7 Monkey Pals which are a little over a week old now. I fed them some 10-52-10 plant starter(Veg) fertilizer by Plant Prod a few days ago, and the day after 2 of my girls started to twist there 2nd set of leaves. Those two also look a lil droopy, i may have also over watered them. Any ideas of what is happening, and what i can do. I will post some pics up today as soon as i can. Any suggestions would be helpful. Love you all!

you really shouldnt have fed them yet. and looking at the NPK, that doesn't look right. for veg you want something high in N, e.g 15-5-5 or something along those lines. I cant say any more without pics but, it doesnt sound good

I dunno what light you got, but maybe something with more lumens. You shouldnt feed them anything untill week 3 to be safe. The first 2 weeks are fairly slow because they are building a root system.

Make sure you got a fan in there, it'll keep the temps down and strenthern the stems.

i got told that you shouldnt put the fan as close to the plants so as it would wave them about and strenghthen them because the plant would waste energy on doing this so i didnt do it and now my plants have very thin stems like less than a cm across so could anyone tell me whether it is better to strenghthen or not thanks in advance

Stronger is always better. Only the strong survive.

Well, the stem delivers nutrients throughout the plant, I would imagine the thicker/larger the stem - the more lush the growth.

I may very well be wrong on this, but I know a few expert growers that swear by thickening their stem mass with the use of a fan.
I would make sure that your plant can support the tasty nuggets your branches will eventually push out, in the very least.

Hope this helps a little. :)

My soil consists of the following: Vermiculite, jiffy pellets, lime, and peatmoss. yea i do have drainage at the bottom of my pots. i am using 2X26w cfl and 1 45w cpf, and i have a small fan in there as well. I didn't used the described amount to use on seedlins. though it did say to fert when the 2nd set of leaves apeared, i waited till the third set. I flushed them out last night and they don't look much different.i will post some pics asap.
Cheers,
