Resin , i must have !need tips

Dry = me . I wanna get the resin out of this sherlock pipe . Its glass and its about 9 -10 inches in length with 2 curves in the pipe. I have never tried to get the resin out of a pipe. How should i go about this . Thanks .

well if I were you, i would just hit the resin strait outta the pipe. just as if you were hittin a real bowl of weed, except suck the fire down into the pipe as far as you can. this burns the resin in the bowl and into the stem a little. itll get you high if its real resinated.goodluck!

Yea i was thinking about that , yesterday i did try and scrape some out with a paper clip , but its hard cause you cant see inside and the curves in the pipe kinda are a bitch. But i managed to get a ball and got some decent rips.

rinse in very very hot water first then scrape hot water loosens up the resin and it comes clean with ease usualy and just get a long peice of copper wire (solid strand but not too thick) and bend a L shape in it and get scraping...

coat hanger or the stem of an artifical flower have always worked well for me

Take a paper clip and bend it straight or mostly straight. Stick it in your pipe to get a little resin on the sides of the paper clip. Then take a small piece of rolling paper and wrap it around the paper clip. Now go back in and start scrapping. The resin should catch on better to the paper.

I use a precision slotted screw driver, it's a gem for scraping. Paper clips and wire for the curves and bends. Gots to love those sticky, icky, messy, yucky resin oil hoots. I hate the stuff.. But I smoke it all the time! Keeps me high between sacks.:rasta:

way too fuzzy, just boil your pipe and strain out all the resin that comes out. that way your pipe will look brand fucking new and u can smoke the resin.

Yeah, that is the best, safest for your pipe, and easiest way. Or, if you don't want to smoke resin, but have alot in your pipe, boil some water, but half a stick of butter in, let it boil with the water, put your pipe in. Let it boil around for 30 minutes, while stiring. Take your pipe out, and put the liquid in the refrigerator for a few hours. After a few hours have been up, the white hard stuff sitting on top of the water, is the butter than solidified. It's now laced with resin/thc, so it's cannabutter. It won't be a potent if you used weed instead of your pipe, but it works. Oh yeah, now your bowl will have butter on the inside, and be all greasy, inside and out. To fix this, just boil it inside water a few times, and it will look brand new.:D

smoking resin is ok.... but i think i'd have to draw the line at eating it... i'd imagine it would be like drinking "bong-butter" (instead of bong water)

when i hit my pipe the glass can get really really hot, and it does make it weaker but if you boil your pipe u need to make sure its suspended in the boiling water somehow. otherwise it will probably crack from being bounced around by the boiling water bubbles.

but boiling it probably doesnt get it as hot as if you were smoking out of it.

i dont know if boiling it will weaken the glass, but boiling water is just as hot if not hotter than a lighter, and it would be all around and inside the pipe for a sustained period of time. basically im just saying you cant really compare boiling it and smoking out of it.

heat the side of the glass with a lighter to make it loosen up alot then scrap it out with pipe cleaner

soak your pipe in iso alcohol
keep jamming the string through the hole and soaking pipe again and again
let it drip into the alcohol "in a pyrex dish"
if you want to smoke the resin evaporate the alcohol

the alcohol will loosen up the resin like magic

when you evaporate the alcohol the thc is left
you want the thc to be soluble to go into the alcohol in the first place
