Well this drink seems to have alot of fuckin alcohol in it lol. I'm not a drinker and I'm not really that interested in drinks so dont laugh but when I first saw the abv of this drink I was like "whao" so I was wondering has anyone ever tried the 151 proof version of it?

Ahhh, EverClear...closest you can get to some authentic 'shine. I didn't know there was a 151 proof of it. Hell, I thought the normal bottle was like 180 proof or some outrageous amount. The only thing I can do with EC is mix it with frozen juice, like MinuteMaid or something. It's usually OK that way. Took a shot of it once, straight...will NEVER do that again.

yea that's the stuff that sparked a thousand domestic disputes .. we used to make up big 30 gallon garbage cans full of the stuff just add a boat load of chopped up fruit and differant fruit juice with several gallons of ever clear and then just add people for instant beligerance

I don't know if you all have a Sonic near you...little fast food restuarant...but anyways whenever I drink ever clear I always mix it with a Cherry Limeade from there...you really can't taste the EC at all...I love it. I've done shots of it before too. It's a bit harsh, but so is Bacardi 151....doesn't bother me too much anymore...I can usually drink almost anything.lol. But yeah that shit will get you wasted. I'm not a big drinker anymore though...just occasional wkend I'll drink.

This'll help. I'm not sure if there's a European equivalent, but Everclear is a brand name for a very high-proof pure grain alcohol. It doens't have a unique flavor like vodka or tequila or scoth or bourbon, and in America, it's highly sought after by relative youngsters who like to put it in punches or mix it with sweet mixers. Folks get very drunk--and very sick--from Everclear. Here's a link I found. Apparently it's not sold in some states in the U.S., which surprised me. I live in Texas, and here it's easy to find.

Be careful with the Absinthe, I think there's only two countries in Europe that legally sell REAL Absinthe. I heard that stuff is nasty!

Hey, Cal. Speaking of absinthe, I'm addicted to a guy who does a show on the Travel Planet, Anthony Bourdain. He's a chef in NYC but also a successful author and all-around cool guy. He's also a recovered smack addict, but he still has an adventurous streak when it comes to substances. In a show he did in Paris, he went to a couple of underground places and drank the real, illegal, old absinthe. They played up the hallucinogenic effects real big in the show, but I read later that they did that mostly for dramatic effect. Anyway, it looked nasty. But Tony Bourdain will try anything. . . I think that's why I find him compelling to watch.
