possibly i mean flaovor gets better over time but it could be that it wasn't fully flushed or maybe it's just the strain you don't like, it's the high i think peopel like not as mcuch the taste but i can't say for sure

i know me personally... this is what i look for in smoke
* look
* smell (bud and smoke)
* flavor
* how it rolls
* how it burns
* of course the high

i know the ww i hit on... it was a smooth hit, aftertaste was fresh tasting but it started getting harsh half way into a joint

maybe it wasnt flushed good enough.... did it burn funny and was there a chemical like taste

i grew alot of ww and the taste was wonderful imo. very strong and almost sickeningly sweet. i am very fond of the white strains though so my opinion might be a little biased. gypsys kiss from reeferman is a ww cross that has a great citris taste and real heady high, another 1 of my favorites. i have also heard good things about ice from nirvana and lets not forget white russian. sorry to ramble but as i said before i love the white strains! i cured the ww's for as much as 3 months and the taste definetely keeps getting better/smoother. be patient and i think you'll be happy with it.

Can we assume 1) You did not cure it? 2)Your taste are different? 3) You have tried WW before and know what to expect? It has been five years since I grew that Cannabis Cup winning strain and it wasn't being grown for taste. If there is something different about your bud maybe you should reconsider your fertilzer and curing. But what do I know?

freindowl my freind i gotta agree with you here i just finished that strain and with all the hype about it i was let down the smell when wet is totaly diffarent when cured BUT it isnt a very nice smell almost like fuel as they say .The smoke was exellent but again not what i was expecting and i can asure you that i flushed this plant lke i flush all others but still it was a let down so i agree also it is one bitch of a strain to grow very easily stressed so i will never grow it again 3 times i have grew it before and always that same taste its hard to describe like a fuely minty smell .the postman.

to get the weed taste it has to be cured for ages, but the longer the better.

It might have alot of chlorophyl tht needs to be broken down.

Most likely a cure will help. But widow is one of the hardest strains to grow. It needs specific care. And the taste is very effected by the way it's grown. It also depends where you got the seeds.
I've had several types of Widow. Sweet hashy,herby sweet skunk mostly. The taste isn't what WW is all about. It's the high.

dont be discouraged im just picky
all the people who have smoked my widow
love it.say its the best bud ever
the high makes your thoughts come in
a lot faster and the heart beat jumps up
people get all jittery and shit
im more concerned about taste
i love a strong kush taste and the widow dont have that
tastes like straight thc

White Widow takes awhile in its curing process before that sweet flavour kicks in. Personally, I don't like it. While it is a good high and is one of my better highs, I will not smoke it for taste. If I want a good tasting high I will take some MK-Ultra, Bubblegum, Blueberry, or some Sputnik. Only had Sputnik once and I thought that it was the bomb (cost about as much as one too). While its innitial taste wasn't a favorite I liked the after taste and the ensuing high.

Happy Toking :rasta:

really, It didnt seem that hard when i grew it, and its supposed to be fairly easy to grow i thought.

I found white widows taste lovely. all the crystals gave me a strange sensation when i grinded it that made me want to grit my teeth. wierd i know. lol

I love white widow. I've grown it in soil and hydro. The soil was awesome. The hydro well. I'm new to hydro. I got sinus pressure from smoking nonflushed ww. The only problem is the whole plant is not done. So when do I start flushing.

Another thing I noticed. The soil grow has aphids and the hydro does not. Both are growing outside side by side. So what gives? I suppose the nutes must give the plants an odor the aphids don't like. Interesting.

chemicals in thwe hydro bud. Probably keep them away.
Maybe Widow is just hard for dumb ppl. lol
I never grew it myself. Just been told it takes about 3 grows to get it down perfect.I don't think it's a beginer growstrain personally.
NL#5 is much better for beginners. Or afghani.

Personally I think the taste and high is great. This is my favorite strain for the taste and high so far. It tastes of something that makes me keep wanting to smoke it. Up to others what they like but I like this one.
