Ok heres my deal. I started germinating friday night, so I think my seeds should be ready like tonight or tomorow. My problem is getting my site ready. Its full of gras and small debris. I dug for 45 minutes to try and get the dirt ready, and made two lines, each about 6 inches wide and maybe 10 feet long. My problem is the lines are barely noticeable. Should I try to go out and get some top soil or something?

The first picture is one of the lines I made.
The second picture is just the ground at my site.
The third picture is my site from far away. Its just before the trees but behind all the bushes.
The fourth pic is me standing at the woods line and looking out towards my site.

Wow, ok, i think your gunenr need to get some top soil, some perlite, minx it together and make them lines really deep trenches then fill it with the soil, or just get a fork and dig it all over, cos the ground looks really really hard and too compact for a plant to get established roots.

i agree
that ground looks way to hard for roots to pass thru
top soil and perlite will do very nicely
cheers all :)

Ok heres what I'm doing. this ground is just full of roots, so i'm digging about a 15x5x2 (long x width x deep) hole, lining that hole with plastic from a hardware store, then filling that with top soil. should this do the trick? heres a picture of the hole so far after about an hour of digging
