Wouldent it be nice to be able to post on here: "Lets all meet up tonight and get stoned!" or be able to speak freely about connects and things like that? Everyone looking for weed on here sounds like a cop or prolly is a cop. I was just curious if joining the "cafe" is any safer??? Like a lot of other people, i am deffenitely a cannibis conneisuer (spell) and I love trying differant strains and hate having to get the same "mids" every 2 weeks. This is all the more reason for everyone to join there local NORML branches. I mean we all know its not hard to really find connects, but with a busy lifestyle and lack of time its hard to meet new people nowadays. Just sounding off, smoke on!!! :rasta:

It was some chronic. One time I paid my dealer $1 for a fat ass bud so he could buy a cheeseburger...the good old days.

Weed and the growth therein has limited the amount of people I can safely become close to, to only two.
It would be nice if it was leagal or if people could be trusted with knowing what you do in your closets and basements IRL. I have never been stolen from or snitched on... But there is also the factor of me having two life-long friends only.
I am very proud of my two friends, but, I do wonder what it would be like to make more as I get older.
Being a weed grower/smoker puts us in such positions. When I was a kid and just smoked, I learned how quickly that fact about me became known to people I never met. People from other valleys would know me before I knew them. It was far too apparent then, that if I ever wanted to truly enjoy myself or feel safe in what i do, I have to sacrifice many potential friends.
Maybe not exactly on your topic, but close enough. It is very sad that people have to stay seperated from other people due to social stigma and paranoia. Oppression of this plant has left most of us feeling the same way you do. there is so much potential for us to be a community, but it is just too dangerous to play around with people and weed out the good from the bad when you do what we do.

If any true Growers are looking for an older stoner lady to hang out with...lol let me know :) Krippy lives in the burgh....and only smokes some of the best :) Just wondering if anyone in the area wanted to just hang out and smoke and forget what stupid laws we have here in the the good ol USA
I dont drink....so smoking is my means of relaxation. I enjoy it and they can pry my ROOR from my cold dead fingers :) Wish I had the space to grow...have a genius friend who grows everything I smoke...he offers clones but Im to nervous that I will not be able to handle the incredible effort it takes to make the ladies close to his. I know some will say a CLONE IS PERFECT...but this guy is a perfectionist....and I dont want to disapoint him.
So for now...lol Ill just spend the cash on his. One day I will move to Canada or the Dam and just grow myself........POUNDS AND POUNDS

God bless the PA hicktowns.
I live in miles of mountain valleys. The only things within a half hour of me that can be considered big would be Pottsville or Frackville. There are other cities closer to me, but most people wouldn't even call them cities. Little raural towns.
Sometimes its a pain in the ass with boredom and all in the winter, but where I live, the neighborhood and privacy therin is second to none. Not to mention the sheer amount of forest acreage directly behind my house. Great place to stash some trees and fade out of society. The police are even very amazing. I got pulled over with 3 ounces one night and no charges were ever placed and I was allowed to go home the same night.
As for hanging out with people from the internet... Who knows. I've actually never done it, and have been on the web for 7 years at least by now. Met countless people on it, but its quite rare to find someone within an hour of myself period, let alone one that's not as paranoid as I am. I had once made a plan to meet someone at a mall close to me, but they were a no-show, and that's as close as I got o meeting soemone over the intarweb. Just gotta be carefull of the Ted Bundys and other psychotics that wind up on here. I don't like to consider myself a puss, but I would never blindly come to meet someone in a non-public venue where it wouldnt be hard to touch me in the pants without witnesses.

Im from way down south, and the "ned reckersons" would only be described as(me) beer drinkin heavy music listenin folks are few and far between round here. My accent is so damn heavy that I stick out like a sore thumb when I go to buy a pack of smokes. Its funny to me. I lived some of my life out in Fort Stockton, TX, myself.
First grade, at any rate. That place still sticks to my memory. Such a different place on Earth, and, really, the only other place on the planet I've spent time in and was old enough to retain memory. Gorgeous place.
Though, I must say that i am in love with PA at his time of year. These forests, so thick already. Its like a rainforest in my back yard. While this season is ominous, as far as how much water we are predicted to recieve, I still expect some spectacular results from these mountains, yet again.
Unfortunately, I am currently rearing the future as we speak. Winter's harvest was not quite up to par with my previous, leaving me with nigh until next harvest. However, the good news is that the current generation is already at 9" in under a week, which leads me to believe I will not have long to wait for the next haze.
Those destined to be outside will end up there in the coming weeks, I believe. Vegetative stage does not seem very far away for them. Hoiwever, with the predictions of frequent wet weather, i find it dangerous to throw them to the wilds until adequite stalk-strength is attained. Although, those going outside will more than likely stretch their lives until hunting season, depending on when we are scheduled to recieve frosts. While it takes a few more months, I have to say the outdoor yeild is simply awe-inspiring. Also, the 10 mile hike up the mountains and accross the tops to tend to things keep me in great shape. Growing is like some kind of super-sport in this state.
Hopefully, with the advent of myself having some crop to share, some of us can meet and laugh it up in this place.
Try any Yeungling yet, dime? I am very, very fond of their Lager. I would even go far enough to call it my favorite beer. Also, If you are into beer with a great hops accent, a local brewery called Victory brews a beer called Hop Devil that is quite an excellent, heavier beer. Basically, a Pale Ale with a lot of Hops buds (cannabis relative :p ) mixed in. I really like it. Also, if you are into heavier music, I can give you a few mails about where I am going to be playing. We play rock, dabble in some thrash-esque metal... I really don't know what you'd call us, but odds are that our tour schedule, which begins July 4th, has us stopping by near you. We made it a point to pencil in local areas, no mater how obscure, before we hit the road.

I just moved to the burgh from California and don't know anyone who
shares these interests. I would love to find people
who like to smoke and grow. I've grown in the past and will probably
start up again soon. ALthough PA is so conservative compared
to CA, I'm pretty nervous about it. Is there anyway to share info

Well here's why it really sucks: normally it's a crappy situation because it's expensive and a hassle and secretive etc. But I depend on it for pain relief and the *fun* of college life is that that supply is much less dependable than having a friend grow it or something.
You want to hear the saddest thing? My boyfriend got me a vaporizer for graduation and I don't have anything to put in it!! I have money, I have a vap, but because I don't know a guy who knows a guy (ugh I hate how shady this whole process is!) I've been in much worse pain than usual for the last three weeks.
I've tried growing in my basement but haven't been having a lot of luck as of yet. I'd love to hang out with anybody in the burgh, just give me an IM.

It's more the fact that any seeds I sprout die after they're transplanted into a pot and moved down into the basement... I think it's because of the bugs/mold/creepy-crawlies, though I'm not really sure. I'd love to start with clones, if I get up to Canada or somebody helps me out that would be a lot easier, but I've been trying to grow in this basement for months and every sprout I put down there ends up dying. But there's nowhere else here for me to grow (I live on a high floor, so it's too hot in my closet). Ah well.
Has anybody else had this problem? Seeds sprout fine, you get them transplanted fine and then they just die? I don't know much about this...

I don't think it's creepy crawlies... you need to creat an enviorment in the basement and grow there... taking seedling from a warm sunny window and throwing them in a dark damp basement is not going to work... go to our grow section lounge and say hello,,,they will sort you out...

Plants appreciate a good air flow.
I.E. ventilation.
Its also been kinda chilly in some parts of PA. If your basement is closed off to the world with no outside air exchange and is 70f or under, plants can have a hard time taking off or even surviving at all.
You definately don't want to keep going with the basment idea unless you look into good ventilation. A cool damp closed off basement is asking for problems, even if a plant does manage to take hold. Plants are pretty resillient, either way, it could be more of a problem to look into besides that, but, I've cured a lot of bad scenes by ventilating the area and making sure there's decent temperature.
Also keep in mind that the more space there is for the roots to grow into, the healthier the plant. A lot of scenes i see go wrong have to do with too little soil depth, as well. By the time your sprout is 5 inches, its roots can easily reach a foot in depth. When I use end pots (the last planter pots I transplant into) for plants, I use 15 gallon buckets.
Also check the grow lounge and make sure your lighting is adequete.
That's how you grow geraniums ; )

Basements rock!! IMHO
As skink stated, build an enviroment, you can use really cheap materials, and get stunning results.
6 years ago, I had $500.00 bucks to use, for everything...my very first cut was a measley 67 grams dried packed away bud.
Now that same box, gives me 4-5 times a year 3-5 ounces...with 320 watts of light and wee blower!! About $25.00 a month to run.

Growing isnt that hard...ANYONE can grow pretty good stuff with some effort.
Now to grow GREAT things takes time and practice and PATIENCE and the following
your basement can be used but you have to pick an area AND CLEAN IT WITH BLEACH.
Trow up some MYLAR which you can get in any hydro store or on EBAY if your not near a store.
Set up some fluro lights for the clones....keep them as close as possible
If your starting with seeds...put them in a damp cloth inside a plastic bag.
COMPLETE DARKNESS and WARM....they will sprout
Put the tap root side DOWN in your medium...and give them LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT....fluros as close as possible 24 hours a day for a week or so wil be fine
Then they are ready to go under an HPS light. Veg em on 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness for 2 to 3 weeks..then kick them into flower
12 hours light on 12 off.
DURING THE OFF CYCLE ....dont let them get ANY LIGHT. ANY LIGHT THEY GET DURING THE OFF CYCLES will GREATLY slow down your process.
Watch the trics on the buds...when they start to get cloudy....and a bit amber they are DONE unless you want a complete COUCH LOCK which means let them go to all amber. Not my cup of tea so I like em with a touch of amber ONLY
Last cut the buds...do the trim work while they are wet...MUCH EASIER
Let them hang upside down until the stem can snap and not just bend...
Then stick em into Mason Jars for a week... Open the jars move the buds around 2 to 3 times per day. After that and your sure they are dry DRY
Then let them cure for about 2 weeks and BABOOOM...you have your own good smoke :) Peace out

Also I realize that I love the sacred herb to stay in Pgh much longer. Due to my present situation cant leave yet. But I plan on moving to cali and trying to get a permit to be a medical grower. In an ideal world I would also get to open a medical dispence club...but that might be pushing it.
I watch people get drunk and act like assholes.....and its perfectly legal
Funny that nobody I know that smokes acts anything like that and my NATURE herb is illegal. Just doesnt make sense to me
Anyway smoke em if ya got em....enjoy whats left of the weekend and stay safe :hippy:

Hey krippysmoker,
I still carry some of your ideas today. I purchased a tiny hunk of land in Colorado, about 10 years ago, when I thought they would go to a care giver status. I dont the need the shit, it just makes me a lot happier person. But with that said, I had to watch an old guy, die afraid, and in pain, as the family would not give me a letter stating they would not sue me, when old Toby died!! I would have lost evrything I own to help to help the guy, eas into his end.
Anyway, now I got decent skills, and do give a good bit away, but in all reality, if I could grow, keep what I wanted, and recoup my expense and make a decent salary....I'm in!!
But, it's miserable trying to talk to real care givers, doctors, with out someone scammming you!! We need a connection between docs and needers, not WANTERS...NEEDERS.
Good luck!!

U know what makes me sick about this med-mj issue?? I have a disabled parent who has spinal neuropathy and his doctors would rather put him on heavy doses of oxycontin, then pretty much force him to take them cause if he dosent his Disability insurance will no longer cover him because they will ask why hes off the pain meds if he cant work. Then on top of that they piss test you to make sure you are taking the opiates, and if u piss positive for marijuana they will take away your perscription (and once again, how can he be off the pain meds and be in so much pain not to work?)!!! Can you tell me how that is fair?!

Hey guys, please try and remember this is ONE issue, very very wrong, but we need to see and understand WHY, these things can happen.
It goes back in time, back to around 1910-1913 timeframe. When America was a Republic, even the THOUGHT of drug limiting laws, would have got you lynched if you brought up that issue!!
In a Republic, the governments only job is to PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS!!! As long as your not infringing on others rights, and property. You were perfectly in your rights, to smoke pot, opium, purchase codeine, cocacain, all valuable items to medicate yourself.
But once, the BANKSTERS took over America, with Federal Reserve Act, that put the central banks in the hands of a few families, the words of our Republic were very quietly removed where ever they could be. They even changed the words in the US Army giude book to explain what a Republic is, and replaced those words with the filty word DEMOCRACY!!
We have been slowly mutated to think those words are the same THEY ARE NOT!!! Educate yourselves to know the differences, then go out and fight your senators, and congressman, demanding them to abloish the Federal reserve system/IRS/ IncomeTax, and remove any way for polictians to give themselves your money for whatever they wish.
Marijuana was used to build a DEMOCRATIC society, where all money goes to the top wealthiest familes, so they can build colleges to make more lawers, judges, polictians...see the cycle, so very corrupt.
We are closer to Communism than Russia ever was!!! They threw out the Banksters!!! Abe Lincoln, to fund the civil war, printed his own currency, backed by silver, and created a debt free money system, as they use in other places...thats why the North was not in debt after the war. The south on the other hand, took loans from the Europene Banksters, and were broke from interest in a 4-5 years!!
This whole system is corrupt, but can be saved. We must change the thinking first IMHO.
And no Rob, I'm not close to Philly.

I've been looking for a job and I'm hoping to move out west to the golden land of medical marijuana... because like people have been saying, it really blows to be a patient. I've actually had a doctor at one of the pain clinics at UPMC tell me, when I admitted to him that I smoke, that "most of the patients I see wish they could smoke and would probably benefit from it, but they don't have the connections you have." [That was until this summer, when all my good connections went away:)] I hate that my insurance will pay for the Vicodin and Darvocet I've been taking constantly since I was 15 without a second thought, but that I've had to take on a second job in college to pay for weed because it's the only thing that gets the pain down enough that I can sit up to focus on my schoolwork for the insane amounts of time that CMU demands. Grr.
