FILM:

Helen Mirren
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Meryl Streep

As for Helen, see HBO's Elizabeth I (http://www.hbo.com/films/elizabeth/index.html). Simply amazing work.

Music:

I won't list three because the mainstream music scene in America is so far off the mark when it comes to talent it really isn't funny. There are a handful of really great popular music artists and many, many great editors. That's what makes the world go round. I recommend finding a less capitalistic outlet than FM radio and BestBuy, like CANADA.

Vinny, what do you mean 'Al Pacino - in his prime'? Hes still in his bloody prime! :p
He was great in Two For The Money, and if he wasnt in it, the film wouldve been total shite. Nearly was anyway, but because AP was in it, it was at least watchable. One of his lesser-known films, Serpico, just has to be seen to be believed.
Oh, as for the standup...

Jim Davidson
Jethro
Billy Connolly

Stick them three on stage together and Id pay £100 to see them live...

Vinny87

First off, I loved Serpico.

Second...come on...he's got talent still, but he is not what he was 20-30 years ago. I mean...he was in Gigli...

NO WAY IS PACHINO WHAT HE WAS!!

and also

those who are saying Robert Deniro
i sure as hell hope you mean in his 70s taxi driver era and not now!

i wouldnt piss on him if he was on fire now!

SERPICO is a fucking movie man!

Actually, you're right...the last good movie he was in was The Score.

Nobody can deny a prime DeNiro though...nobody.

He was useless in Meet the Parents/Fockers.
Now, H.E.A.T was a damn good film. Al Pacino and De Niro playing the starring roles? Fuck yes!

Hey, can't forget Godfather Part II. They were the only two movies that had both of them in the cast.

Actually, part II was my favourite. The first was, right up until I saw the second one. The third one was just ridiculous where the helicopter comes towards the hotel to blast everyone - you wouldve been able to hear it miles off, yet they only heard it when it was right outside.

Sofia Coppola's performance killed it for me. Just cause daddy's a director, doesn't mean you can act.

Anyway, I liked the first one better than the second, but not by much. Partially because Sonny is one of my favorite movie characters of all time...

His licks are unnatural!
He must have came to a cross roads and made a deal with the devil!

No-one else here appreciate Jamie Cullum? Hes so damn hot. Im not gay in the slightest but Id suck his cock if he ever asked.

(From Wiki)
After graduating from the University of Reading in 2001, Cullum - who is completely self-taught, bar a few piano lessons as a youngster - released a best-selling album, Pointless Nostalgic, which stirred interest from Michael Parkinson. Following that, in April 2003 he signed a contract with Universal, for three albums, who beat Sony in a bidding war for the prodigy.

Film:
Steve Buscemi (He's the man, period)
Takeshi Kitano (everything he touches is amazing)
Philip Seymour Hoffman (he commits and is amazing in even the littelest roles)

Music:
Richard D. James (he's just so intelligent and ahead of everybody, he has to be on my list)
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (same as above but with a different genre)
Daniel Dumile aka MF Doom (his voice and style are the most original I've ever seen)

Has he got anything to do with that crazy Japanese gameshow, Takeshis Castle? I love watching that show stoned.

I was gonna say no cause that doesn't sound like anything he's done before but I checked IMDB and he's an actor in it, he plays Count Takeshi hahaha

I was talking about the movies he's directed though.
