ill be getting another tattoo for my 19th. this time its gonna be rather large and on my foot. what i am most worried about is the pain. a friend recommended a spritz of chloraseptic on the area shortly before going under the needles. another recommended some codeine and ice. im willing to undergo pain for pleasure but a little help would be nice. any tricks of the trade to help numb the pain before and after?

poohead. i already have a tattoo. i hardly even remember the pain but the foot is an infamous spot for very painful tattoos. oce i get over the initial pain, the numbness will kick in and ill be good....

thats true, when i was on my hols we talked to a guy who had just finnished gettin a tat on the sole of his foot (he was covered in tats), didnt quite understand what he was sayin, but it sounded like "omfg it hurts real fuckin bad", and he was limpin about all over the place lol

Meh, unless weed truly does numb you when you get realllly stoned (still cant figure out if my weed was straight when I went numb lol) then I wouldnt recommend gettin high before doin it, usually when I'm high I feel everything thats happenin to me in detail (pain wouldnt be somethin I would want to feel in detail). So try some coke..:p.

I've never got a tattoo before, im way too poor at the moment, but when I smoke weed my body gets way more sensitive than sober, I would think tokin before it would make it hurt more

luckily, when i had mine done, there was a bar straight across the street, i drank the pain away, then someone had to come take me away lol... can anyone say legless?

The tattoo on my arm was a bitch in some places so I can imagine how painful the foot will be.I had a few shots of whiskey before I went in but that was to calm my nerves more then anything and I also had a lollipop which came in handy because I just bit on the stick instead of saying bitch out loud like I did when my first angel was done.Next for me is 2 swans which is going on my abdomen it's for my parents who were married almost 40years(he passed away just before)and my dad was my mums first and only love.

No pain,no gain simple as that.You should push your pain threshold bit by bit then things wont hurt as much after a while.
