Hi i have a top 44 mother plant from nirvana seed stock, i consider myself an experienced grower having taken clones from many different strains in the past. I am however really having trouble getting top 44 to root successfuly, i have got sterile equipment and have good quality in date rooting hormone gel, the clones stay alive for around 3 weeks then die with no roots i have noticed that the wood is very soft on the mother plant could this be problem i wonder? i am using nutrients with a cf of around 5 with a little superthrive to spray the leaf with. and using root riot blocks which are like black sponge cubes... very good normally. i would appreciate some help from a person who has cloned top 44 as i normally get around a 99% success rate and so far a 99.9 falure rate..... really wants this strain!!!! please!!!

How's your humidity in the cabinette?

Some plant clones need a whole lot of effort too root. Sum up the Humitidy, day/night temps and show me a picture of those cubes you root in.

I agree with britewire on this one...sometimes you just can't root them...I have some strains that root with no prob's, but I had this one favorite, hybrid...and, I could not get it to root.

some will root easy as you have experienced, others will be next to impossile...

In my case, I just flowered the bitch and moved onto another MUM. lw

mate i had the same problem with sensi skunk .... i found i had the cut the N down about 5 days before taking cutting and a good flush of the pot about 3 days before. cut ur cutting square off and straight into cold water , then 45 it and into the water again , then into ur rooting hormone and into ur rockwool or soil. when u put it into ur propagator cover the prop straight away, only take the lid off to add another cutting . i found this was the only way i could get them to take , i also use a small biece of carpet on the bottom of the prop which i would wet , i think this helps the cutting look for moisture.

ide say your keeping the clones too wet.as they only should be moist..and fed water...a heating mat is the go ..
