jeeesh where to start.
I would try and burn as many phish cd's as your friends have
because they'll have a lot.
stoners always do.
try and get these albums: "billy breathes" and "round room"
those have a good variation of songs.
as far as songs, 'prince caspian' is popular.
I also like 'poor heart' a lot
there are a TON more
just get all their cd's any way you can without spending money, lol
hope that helped
glad to have another phish head.

Dude, I love phish more than any band in the world but round room fucking sucks. It has maybe 3 good songs on it. Get Hoist, every single song on that album (except for demand and even it has its moments) is unbelievable. Rift is another one of their best albums. In order, id say my preference for their albums goes Hoist, Billy Breathes, Rift, A Live One, Farmhouse, Lawn Boy, Picture of Necture, Junta, Undermine, Round Room.

Yah you're probably right about 'round room,' but I like it for some reason.
It's probably not a good one to recommend however.
It was just the first to come to mind.
Basically the point is to just get as many albums as you can for free.
They have some badass live cd's as well.

Yeah but most of them are really bad quality. I have friends that trade tapes but I rip the official release cds. I would have given my left nut to have gone to one of their concerts. I saw Trey when he came to atlanta and it was an pretty good show.

definitely listen to the story of the ghost. guyute, brian and robert, water in the sky, roggae, wading in the velvet sea...the whole album is incredible.
anything from the story of the ghost or rift...those are my two favorite albums of theirs. hoist is a good one too and so are junta and a live one...
all highly reccomended.

Get Hampton Comes Alive
Absolutely amazing. I dig Phish's studio albums, but nothing compares to their live recordings. Biggest regret is not ever seeing one of their shows.

Oh, I forgot about story of the ghost. Its a fairly good album but I dont really like it's funky (excuse me PHUNKY) sound. Id rank it right below picture of necture.

Man, you need to go buy Billy Breathes or Hoist if those are you favorite songs. It sounds like you've only listened to picture of necture. My whole family loves phish; my parents and my 8 and 12 year old brothers, and no I dont live in a hippie family.

Just a heads up for Phish heads out there. Trey Anastasio is going to be on some of Tom Petty's tour stops this summer. Mostly east coast venues, though. The farthest west he gets is an Indianapolis,IN show I think.

DL down with disease, Free, Theme From the Bottom, Sample in a Jar, Cars Trucks Busses (Kind of a deep cut but its one of my favorites on the album) and Billy Breathes (arguably THE best song to listen to high)

Gotta agree that the live stuff is way better than the studio stuff.
Check out the Tower Jam from the IT Festival

I second "You Enjoy Myself". Get all of Junta-- their first album and a classic. And find a good live version of "Mike's Song". Glad to see more people getting into Phish. It's too bad they broke up.

well, a lot of hippies are really annoying but the vast majority are some of the coolest, most interesting people you'll ever meet. My biggest pet peeve are people who try to act tough to cover their own insecurities. We are all insecure and acting like a badass isnt going to change it. Thats probably why I like hippies, because they're honest and the vast majority of them (to put it in lay terms) dont front.

nobody is trying to classify you. my comment was pretty out of place, but if you dont take shit so personally you wont have to brag about how many guns you have or how many fights you get into.
