Watering

Could someone tell me how often i have to water my seedling and also tell me how often i will have to water my plant when it gets bigger. Right now they are out in the woods and not near any water source. Here where i live it rains a decent amount. ANy help would be appreciated.

Your the only person thats going to be able to answer that seemings were not there. But the way ive been told to find out when its time to water is when the soil is 3 inches deep and its dry. You dont need to water everyday just when its dry.

I also read a post from a more experienced grower than I that said only water when the soil is dry a full finger's length down. Hopefully this helps.

once every 4days with 1litre of water works for most but make sure u also foliar spray with room temp water u should water in the evening also

you need to water when it needs water. Feel the soil around the plant a few days after watering to test its water absorbency. I recommend watering moderate to heavily every 4 days or so. Soil is the easiest to grow in, just figure out your routine and check often especially when they are at a young age like they are now.

Dig a couple holes and bury a couple 1/2gal plastic milk jugs with a 6 nail holes around the bottom of then... next to the plants with the capped top only sticking up... Then when you water fill the bottles and you can extend the time between waters by about 3 times..If you water 2 times a week you can get by with every other week..and if you have to go away a bit they don't shrivel up and die...just a sugestion..

i grow each plant in a pre dug hole spaced 5' apart my soil mixture is my own mix n is added to each 5 gallon hole which is monded about 10" high on 16" centers after i transplant each seedling i cover each mond with a 2' square piece of black landscape fabric
i water each plant with a full 2 gallons everyday throughout grow n 3 times a week i spray all parts of the plant with liquid seaweed 1\4 stregth

I have thrown a few seeds off the back porch and forgot about them till the fall and pick off some killer bud to pass the cold nights..

Its more of a what works for You than anything eles and sometimes doing more can keep a plant outdoors from being strong enough to make it till finish. If you prop up your plants with stakes and such, then the stems have no reason to strengthen against the winds and in a bit of a storm the branches fall off and it breaks in half and dies. Water it all the time and it fails when you happen not to be able to get to it to water during a dry spell. Spray it with bug juice too much and all the good little critters are killed off and at the first opportunity mites attack. On and on...

I suggest the the KISS principle when growing outdoors and maybe you will not get that last bit of buzz increase but you are pretty sure to actually have a plant at the end of the grow...
