From left to right top to bottom:
Ice - 19 days
Bubbalicious - 25 days
White Widow - 25 days
White Widow - 33 days
White Widow - 33 days
White Widow - 33 days
Jock Horror - 25 days
White Satin - 28 days

They're all vegging under a 600w Horitlux HPS. (If you sit and watch the hortilux flame on, you'll see the blue spectrum which is pretty intense light up first before the yellow glow.) First time growing in this set up so the flowering hut and light were going to waste, but it won't be used for growing again once they all start flowering (1 to 2 more weeks).

After flower, will be adding plants maybe once every 2 weeks to the hut to flowering to keep a continuous harvest going every 2 weeks.

Closet shot (2 125w clfs). From left to right:
White satin clones
White widow clones
Ice

The Bubbalicious is going down the garbage disposal today. It's simply growing too fast, too wide and too tall. It will take up all the light soon. Any suggestions?

Most of the plants were started under clfs then went under the hps.

GH 3 part
Hut HPS - 20 on / 4 off
Closet clfs - 18/6

No tds or pH meter.
Add nutes at 75% strength then only add water until as much water has been added as there was nute water to start with. They grow best right before the nutes need to be changed.
Measure the pH with gh pH color solution at mix time. Can't really adjust the pH with the waterfarms because each has it's own res which are fed slowly by the controller res, and any changes to the main res won't affect the individual waterfarms for days. So gave up on pH. This is the one disadvantage with waterfarms on a controller. It does hover consistantly in the high 6's to 7, but never over 7 which might explain the leaf curl on hot days (magnesium and high pH), but the plants seem to being doing well.

These girls have been doing well only after I forced myself not to look at them but maybe 5 to 10 minutes a days

This is my second ever grow attempt and first hydro attempt and growing.

Great job dude, good luck. Hows your temp. in that tent?

Have a digital meter with an electrode on a wire and it ranges from 71 to 85 degrees, but mostly hovers around 79 to 83 ever since it stopped snowing here. I have a 6 inch exhaust fan and the top of the hut as well as a fan inside the hut at top left front corner blowing air right on the reflector.
However, the temps were in the low 90's until I change the light timing to that the off time is during the day's hottest time and on all night. The girls love it now.

Also have shrooms growing in the room, supplying CO2 to the plants. I really recommend this natural method of CO2 enrichment. Mushrooms are not plants and so only expend CO2. And the girls produce oxygen for the mushies.

Yep I have a grow tent gets very hot, especially on 24/7, love the mushroom idea very natural, can you use any type of mushroom? will look into that ;)

I've only grown shitakes, blue oysters, and pc's(magic). Shitakes taste the best but need to grow on logs and can only fruit bi-monthly, so my logs are in the living room. Blue oysters grow very fast and in mass, but they are messy and don't really taste that great. I'm growing two tubs of pc's, and they've had a noticable effect on the plants. With a seperate incubation and fruiting chamber you can have pc's growing and producing co2 all the time. I don't recommend doing this technique which I really didn't think up, but discovered accidently. The humidity the mushrooms need combined with heat and the plants is a recipe for mold and unwanted fungi. I live in the high desert above 4k feet and the humidity rarely passes 20%. So there are no molds in the people's bathrooms, you visit someone in this area and you'll notice how clean (from molds and fungii) their houses are. A guess, but I'm betting I've lucked out because of the low humidity here, otherwise there would be mold and fungi growing everywhere. But you never know, I would give it a try. It is not illegal to buy pc mushroom spore syringes online because the spores do not contain any of the pyschoactive drug. So there are tons of spore sellers in the US. Except in CA and some other state which have currently outlawed the spores as well.

First day of the flower cycle.
You'll notice the Bubbalicious is gone. It was horror watching it go down the garbage disposal :( but ironically, it was just growing to fast.
Started with 24 hours of dark before starting the 12/12 cycle tonight.
I hope the two Ice plants make it because it looks like they're going to be covered up by the older plants.

Enjoy the pics.

There are always in ever grow I have had a dominant plant that takes over. It always want to shadow the rest. Bend, tie, top but never the disposal. LOL. Looks really good can't wait to see what you get.

Day before, I left CA.

[attachment=o65716]
[attachment=o65717]
Today when I got back.

The white satin and the jock horror turned out to be males. :( The other plants were from female seeds and they all show hairs except the youngest ice.

[attachment=o65718]
The white satin before it went down the garbage disposal.

The plants are just growing too fast. They're hitting the light and there's no more vertical room as the hps is right at the top now. I can't believe these girls (and 2 guys) grew 3 feet in 2 weeks.

After topping and prunning first go.

[attachment=o65726]
Last round of more prunning. Geez. And I thought I'd have trouble getting them to grow, now I'm sitting here starring at a garbage bag FULL of plants and cuttings.

Next time, I'll be topping early and flowering earlier than after a month of growth.

Yes its a tragedy when the best of the plants turns out to be male.

The more you prune the more growth there will be for bud sites, and more hash come end of grow :) (I do hope your saving them cuttings)

Thanks for the info.
What would I do with the cuttings. Unfortunately, they went out with the trash already.

That makes sense about the bud site. Hope my girls recover quickly because they lost half their mass in a day.

The male flowers I got off the white satin. Oh my god...:rasta:
Got me so high, real heady high. One hit, off week old male flowers. I knew it would be good because the satin was so sticky when I was prunning it.

What have these girls been through the last couple of weeks?

Well let's start from bad and then go to worse.

I have the air pump on all the time, the one that feeds all the waterfarms, well for some reason and some time ago. Had to be at least 1 1/2 to weeks, I took the pump on the timer and plugged it into the strip, so it was always on.

Get's worse. Some type of sediment grew and plugged the holes that feed into the water right at the point where the air exists. So they all start doing absolutely nothing. Most of them had their roots reach their nutes, but none of those roots were getting good oxygen. I wonder if keeping the air on all the time made them sediment grow to plug the hole?

Anyway, around the same time or right before they stopped growing. I pruned them a second time since last. Then a third time and a fourth. I don't know what got over me. I just was possessed to cut off all the high wide leaves that were shadowing elbows.

Well I thought it was the pruning that was slowing their growth, and I'm still not absolutely sure that it was. Any, the lasting pruning, was actually a harvest of very immature but sticky white only flowers. What can I say, I was fiending.

Anyway here they are, some of them sickly and some of them, I think, better for the entire stressful experience. Look how the white widows are flowing. That's only about 4 days from pruning. Female Seeds white widow rocks! :dance:

Check out the icing! :rasta:
[attachment=o68690]
Haven't seen these girls in a few so, this is the first time seeing icing. :thumbsup:
I know it's not that much to you pros, but I've never seen a weed, in person ice the leaves at least not growing live.
[attachment=o68691]

Forgot to mention. One the ice plants won't flower at all. It just sits there, but the other one is doing great. Weird thing is one of them have thin leaves (the frozen one) and one of them has fatter leaves like the white widow.

I loved my Female Seeds WW. It was my first grow along with NL X Shiva. The WW totally outshined and I was very proud. I'm definitely going to do that again. She took a couple weeks longer though.

REally?

How many days total?
And how many days flowering?

14 weeks total. 8 weeks flower. 4oz off the one plant. 430watt horitlux. GH nutes. No meters. Just finger crosses. I was happy with that for a first grow. She was a shorter plant than the NL x Shiva and was so pretty. I tried cloning but killed them. :(

My clone attempts died too.
GH nutes here too. I think the GH are actually pH buffered, because I always getting narrow range in the high 6's using them.
No meters as well too except for a pack of pH test drops.

My widows' characteristics though are different from widows I've seen pictures of. They like to grow bushy as well as tall, and their leaves are uniform in size; in that, once a certain size leaf appears a bigger one doesn't appear.

The white satin male though, had leaves that made it look like a palm tree at a certain point.

I finally understand why they call these girls white widow.

If you stare at them too long, their hair seem like legs. Anyway i'm rambling.

Moreover did you do anything in terms of a rinse or cleaning in the last few days or last week?

moreover123
06-01-2006, 05:04 AM
I just dumped the containers and rinsed in very hot water then put in plain ph'd water for the last 2 weeks. But the WW took longer than the NL X Shiva and by the time I realized she needed to go longer, I didn't want to put more nutes in. She actually was in plain water for the last 3-4 weeks before harvest. I worried alot about that. Didn't know what to do but I think she might have liked it. Turned out very well.

Actually, I need to change the above information. My NL X shiva took 14 weeks and my WW took 16. I suppose that's because I have a 400 watt light or not enough nutes? IDK.

Hey skriptkiddy, did you use any root stimulater when you planted your clones? I find that helps alot, it really increase's root growth, very helpfull for cloning IMO.

I use olivia's. It worked great on the white satin clones, but nothing resulted with the widows. I suspect that they have been bred as difficult cloners, but it's just a suspicion. The best piece of evidence being that the clones lived for server weeks under constant nute flow, the second that nute flow was changed to 15 minutes every couple of hours they deteriorated. When they finally died, I checked and no roots whatsoever.

Thats reallllllllly odd. I think you should try cloning a couple widows again and put in more root stimulator then you would normally. Thats abnormally odd:confused:

Why is that odd? I don't find it outrageously impossible for plants to be bred as difficult cloners.
