So this is my first grow, and I am growing White Widow. Keep in mind I've never grown a houseplant or anything in a garden before. These plants I started tying down at a young age, keeping them low. Clones were taken off all 4 plants, but only the clone from plant #1 survived. Plant #1 actually turned out to be my favorite of the plants growing, so that was a nice bonus. I used Fox Farms Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and Grow Big to start with, and then found the additions to that line. I gave 1 feeding of the Beastie Bloomz, then flushed the plants. I then did the next 2 feedings with the Cha Ching added in, which brings me to where I am now. I am thinking in about a week it is going to be harvest time. Today is day #49 of flowering. Anyhow, here are the promised pics. The first 2 pictures you see are of #1.

Now, seeing those pics and knowing harvest is 1 week away, any guesses at weight? The buds all seem fairly dense.

Looking darn tasty. Like an upside down bowl of green sugar frosted sumpin sumpin.

Looks like an average of a good ounce or two per plant, but i'm no expert.

Are you sure you're just a week from harvest? The hairs sure don't look very brown yet, or is that just becuase it's a "white" widow? As we all know the only real way to tell when to harvest is by looking at the trichromes with a $7 pocket microscope from radio shack. Harvest clear for clear high, harvest amber for couch lock, narcotice high.

Please keep us posted on the results.

They were about 2 months old when I sent them into flowering, and they are under a 250 watt HPS. They are in 10" pots. I have a 2x3 cabinet that they sit in with the walls painted flat white. I was surprised as well at the shape and size they turned out. But, since it was my first grow I didn't worry about it too much. I haven't looked at the trichs under a magnifier yet, just basing my harvest date off of the strain guides I have read that said flower time is 7-8 weeks.

Just to update this grow, dry weight was 5.5 oz, so whoever said 1-1.5 per plant was dead on. The smoke was incredibly good, and potent. I took clones off of them, and didn't do near as much training (Gave them all to a friend who had more room) and they grew much bigger and looked like an actual MJ plant.. lol. Anyhow, for people that want a lowryder without the problem of autoflowering, I know (by accident) how to train the plants so that they stay real small.

When they were about 3 weeks old, I topped them. When growth restarted I tied the main stalk down using that flexible green wire. Every time a shoot got a couple of inches long I would clip it off, wait a couple of days, and tie the shoot down. It ended up that I had tied the plant down in 10-15 spots. I continued to cut off the growing shoots all the way into the 3rd week of flowering, then stopped pruning. I never did however stop tying the plants down whenever I could. The end result was an extremely squat but good plant. I was a little worried that all the stress may cause them to go hermie, as my temps were a little on the high side as well, but everything came out fine.
