How long does weed keep?

I'm from England, smoke every weekend. I have a friend that deals so we pick it up from him, we don't know different types of weed or anything like that, we just know we sometimes get baked more than others :P.

So anyway, I was wondering how long weed stay good for before it should be smoked. If I pick up an eight tonight, smoke some this weekend, and the reest next weekend, will it still be alrite? Or would I be better getting two tenbags- one now, one next week?

Yeah, it'll be alright. You have people grow loads that would last them throughout the whole of the year, you should'nt have to worry about it not being smokable, put keep it in a ziplock baggie or a jar. But yeah, it'll be fine.

Keep it in Glass man sealed glass jars and that shits good for long time man, yeah as far as i know once weeds cured up and in a glass jar you can smoke it 2 years from now and still have the same bud that was sealed. Trick is nothing can absorb the THC oil/chem so wheres it going to go?

But it could still use potencity within 2 years, which would just mean its not as strong. But i don't think your planning on keeping the 8th a whole 2 years are you? lol.

I have a little bit of some Northern Lights from a year and a half ago and it still rocks my world on the rare occasion I smoke it (I have Chrystal now, with some Durban PoisonxSkunk coming soon).

I keep mine in airtight glass jars in a cool, dark place.

Remember these three things about keeping your weed and maintaining its potency:
1) Store it in an airtight container
2) Store it in a cool place. I don't know anything about freezing or refrigerating it. Anyone with some experience as to how well that keeps it?
3) Store it in the dark. Light turns THC into CBD- the stuff that gives you headaches and short-lived buzzes. Just like heat does.

it will keep for longer in the fridge and even longer in the freezer but really -- it will keep well for about 2 years if you seal it airtight -- i dont know anyone buying that much weed that they still have some left over in 2 years so toss it in the closet in a mason jar and that will do the job keepin it nice n fresh

I heard puting your buds in the freezer could wreck your weed by killing all the THC. Because the thc will freeze up and fall off the nugs. Not a good idear if you ask me.

THC has a long shelf life. It is the rest of the plant that doesnt fair to well with age. Hash has been found in the tombs of Egyptian Mummies 2000 years old , and it is still potent. Cannabis will stay good for a couple of years. Remove the THc and the THC stays good for thousands of years.

Being from england you probably get resin / compressed weed.

I lived there for 2 years and finding good quality weed was really hard - i eventually had a mate staying in amsterdam post me my shit through registered mail.

normally the compressed weed lasts quite long but maybe thats coz its so weak - i live in s.africa and i get my shit direct from lesotho, malawi, zimbabwe and zambia (ALL THE GOOD SHIT!!! HELL YEAH!!!) the stuff is strong as f**k and doesn't keep for longer than 2 weeks. after that it just dries up and crumbles into powder.

I guess different types of weed have different strengths and the stronger the weed is the shorter the shelf-life is.
