I am growing outdoors and I have managed to procure a very good site. My small plot is surrounded by shrubs with briers interwoven. The average shrub heigth is 6' to 8'. I also have a creek that runs behind my plot to allow for easy watering. My only problem is the soil. The soil is rich with nutrients but is heavy with clay. I am wondering if taking some sand from the creek will compensate for the clays absorption or not. Any help would be appreciated.

No worm castings will give you worse drainage than you already have. Sand and Pro Mix are the answer for that riddle.
