ok so someone tried to hack me, i traced it to Perth, Australia, this is the IP >> 203.206.29.91 (anyone recognize it?)..... and when i tried another sort of trace i ended up with this >>> 203-206-29-91.dyn.iinet.net.au
anyway how the fuck do i teach this person a lesson?

Have you tried reporting this incident to the abuse line of the ip in question ? Launching an attack at the offender,will only git ya in trouble. You could set yer fire-wall to block the particular addy,or the entire ip range.

I wouldnt bother mate, getting into hackin n shit is not worth the hassle. You say ur a novice and posting for help....i dont think you would last long as the guy who tried to hack you prob. does thing as a hobbie ;)

I'd say fuck it and report it to the ISP in question. Send a log file showing the IP in question and the activity they tried to do. However, if it was just an isolated incident with a trojan horse or something stupid like that, let it go... it's prob. a dumb kid who will get himself into deeper trouble one day. As a side note, before you try to hack anybody else, you should scan your own system's vunerability... it will secure your 'puter and also give you a better understanding of network security and backdoors.

Lol that looks like a dial up ip...chances are the next time he connects to the internet he'll have a different ip. And if not that it's wireless which isnt as easy to get into.
