I found a wadded up bag of ancient weed in my garage that belonged to someone or other a couple weeks back, and let it be knowing that old weed loses its potency and thc content etc. but yesterday i looked at it closley, and noticed that although their appeared to be some dry schwag on the surface, almost half the sac, which must have been a dime, was golden kif and red hairs. I decided what the hell and smoked about half with good results. does this shatter the old weed is bad weed policy? i guess it could have been younger than i thought, but it was kept in a film canister which also looked to contain crystalized resin, something which doesnt form overnight. maybe it was just chronic...:smokin: :stoned:

i dont notice much drop in quality from weed thats been around for a month or so
and the film canister probably helped, since its pretty airtight

I think the film canaster mite have helped the trichromes grow? I heard somewhere that trichromes only grow in the dark.Think it was High Times.

Don, pot doesn't grow after you harvest it. It can cure, but not grow.

well the only real threat to old weed is mold which can be fatal if you smoke too much of it.. but it sounds like you examined the weed very closely and you're alive to talk to us about it -- also if there was mold on it but you didn't die you would've gotten really really sick and felt like shit, throwing up all over the damn place... happened to my cousin
smoke away bro you're in the clear

yea i wasnt really worried about getting sick, just curious as im pretty sure the weed was a few years old, maybe 10-15, and yet it got me high. also means whoever it was got the hookups back in the day....
