Help! My seedlings have been up for two days and they are dying, rather than growing.
I have a soil mix of organic soil/perlite/peatmoss. It is semi-moist, and ph is right at 6.5. I have a 400W MH light 36" above the pots. Average temp has been 80-ish.
Seeds are "Nirvana x Shiva" from Dr. Greenthumb.
Any ideas?
Well, tbh, i dont see whats wrong with them... Try get some CFL's and see if they work any better, mgiht be the light is slightly to strong for them at the mo.
Sure theres no ferts already in the soil?

The stem has fallen over on the 3 day old. The 2 day old is yellow and has not grown since hitting the surface.
I don't *think* I've got a fungus... this is a clean, just mixed soil 8/2/1: Organic Soil/perlite/peat moss.
The 400W MH is 36" above the pots. I also have a fan delivering a very soft blow to the pots.
Man, I'm depressed. This was the start of my first grow, and it is not getting off to a good start. :(

can you get pics that woudl help everyone a whole lot and i think it might be a fungus from what you said that your plants fell over after three days but i'm not certain
Then they might just be stretching. Try moving the light to 28 inch. Makie sure it doesnt get too hot, put your hand where the tops of the plant are, if its too hot then raise the light a bit.
