GETTING JACKED!

The other day me and my mate felt like some weed so we asked this guy I know, as he goes to my school, but he is well known for being a theif and drug addict. The guy says he will take us to a dealer, so we walk up and then we stop where we are supposed to meet the dealer. My friend then pulls out £10 for the weed and the guy asks for the money and my stupid friend gives it him, so he runs off. We chase after him but he jumps over a fence and loses us.
Not long after we see him and he says he got jacked by the dealer, but it's obvious he hasn't and is chatting shit. He says he is going to jack the dealer and give us our weed but instead he sneaks off, which makes it so obvious he is bullshitting and even his mates are laughing.

That all happend during easter break, but now im going back to school and im gonna see the guy. I dont know whether to kick his ass or not or what to say to him as he knows some people, but im not sure they'll beat me up if i kick da shit out of him. I could also just ask for my money back and see what he says, but I know he wont give me the money, but i dont really want to get violent even though I can kick his ass anyday.

Could someone please give me some advice on what to do Thanks.

this guy seams preaty smart on this topic, but if i belive in something, i dont care how many people this dude knows, i would kick his ass, then if and when his friends come around to beat u up, do like i do, fill up a crew van full of your bros and beat the shit out of them, but then agin ive found out that i only need one person for that other then my self, and thats my bro toby that will fight for me any day of the week, at anytime of the day, and 99.9% of the time he wins the othe .1%of the time he just calls up his friend and his friend brings out the .38 and theres the monney back in my pocket
