What is the best job ever?

what do you think is the best job ever? I believe I have one of the best jobs in the world and that is a musician...and I shall list reasons

1. free access to clubs/bars
2. free alchohol
3. best connections (this means CHEAP weed);)
4. someone always wanting to smoke with you (this means FREE WEED!!):D
5. basically no real work involved (unless you thing strumming a guitar is work)
6. its something that I love:p
7. :dance: females:dance:
8. money is good ($200 in one night depending on where you play)
9. always having a place to crash if you dont have one
10. GREAT PARTIES:thumbsup:

of coarse that is just my opinion there are a lot of cool jobs and I was just wandering what you think is the best one out there...

I beg to differ, I dont think i could ever be in a band.
gimme good, hard physical work. like landscaping, or working with animals.

I enjoy cleaning stalls up at my barn. its great work, and pays $9.50 for some stalls, and up to $11.50 per stall on sundays.

everybody has thier own thing though!!
I dated a musician for a long time, and personally I see them as very troubled individuals. (no offnese):cool:

non-taken ...I guess thats the downside you kinda have to be troubled to be a musician because they usually are the ones to write about issues in life like love,anger,hatred,confusion, and all they other emotions and all the things that you have to go through in life but then again I find that to be great cause you can always connect with someone because you can sing about the problems in todays world and people will know what you are talking about

Did you know Marilyn Mansons real name isnt even Marilyn Manson?
He was a skinny long haired public high school kid from Florida and not some monster from out of this world who like a lot of other skinny long haired public high school kids he got sick of being beaten up by the pulling gaurds all week only to go out on the weekends and watch the football players get all the girls.....so....he formed a band, and now...he gets all the girls. A few years later a couple of latchkey kids go tragically mad and everybody standing around the television store at the mall saying do you think the life of a couple of high school kids could of gotten to be so bad and the other guy says no it was probably just the words to one of them goddamn Marilyn Manson songs...you know....it's the feel good hit of this endless summer that gets these kids out of control singing along to that star spangled banner hail hail rock n roll
Did you know that every ten years or so our country and some other little country we start firing our newest wepons at one another like it or not it happens and when it happens people get shot and when people get shot they show it on the news every night at six oclock and you dont even have to be 18 to see it...you dont even have to be in first grade...first grade where they teach the kid the pride they say he'll need to know in a world where only the strong survive so he's taught the art of more to compare to and to keep score monday through friday then make him go to school once more only this time to listen to a guy in a shirt and a tie claiming that he knows where people go when they die and telling him that only the strong will survive well shit by then the kid dont know what anything is worth..now brothers and sisters i am only one guy and i dont even know the words to that song louie louie but i can tell you this right now without batting an eye that the next time some latchkey kid goes tragically mad it wont be because that Eminem gets to use the word fag in a song ...and i'm not trying to preach to ya either...you know...i'm just trying to sing a little lead and string a few worlds together...........................hey kids...lets get it on...lets get it on

I like roughnecking,working on a drilling rig,and being the motorman on a diesel/electric rig,is the best-because ya git to monitor the output of the generators,in a 68 degree control-house..when the rest of the hands are working in the heat.:D These days,motormen are making 18$-28$,an hour and 30-50 $ a day,per-diem...Yeeehhhaawww !!! Too bad-I can't do that kind of work anymore:( ..but y'all younguns can :thumbsup:

Workin on a drillin rig,will make a man out of ya-I tell you what ! It'll also teach ya how to work zero-error,because yer crew depends on ya,to not make mistakes that can kill them or cripple them,you'll certainly learn the value of team-work too..and the value of preventive maintainance.

yea they're realistic enough, but beta testers don't make shit. Most of the time you do it for practically free for a while. It can take a long ass time to actually nail a job making livable money testing and those jobs usually require pretty extensive knowledge of game coding and developing. I just want to play games and get paid for it and not really have to work too much for it :D

Showco inc 7 years here. It is work even for the richest of music singers or players. LONG days on tour and NO money in records anymore because of the computer. There are perks.

Luckily I got to watch all this as a second hobby/job. I was the person that went and got everyones perdeum. That is the BEST job on earth. I would go to a show because I was invited by phone by a person or persons needing my wares. I was finished working...lol...20 minutes after i got there.:dance:

When I was in Kho Pan nang I went on a long tail boat around the island for a day, this was the day of the guy who ran it;
9am- met about 12 travellers at his resturant to take them down to his wooden longtail boat, had a chat to everyone and then his mates started the boat took off.
10am arrive at a waterfall, rolled a few joints, had a smoke and a chat with everyone and then climbed up the waterfall and went for a swim
11.30am take off in the boat again to a friends resturant on the other side of the island, had a free meal, a few more j's then a thai massage on the sand facing the crystal clear water
2pm took the travellers to a prime snorkeling spot, tripped everyone out by throwing bread in the water, causing a swarm of fish, of all colours of the rainbow, to swin up to the top of the water to eat
6pm arrived back his resturant and had a beer with all the new friends he'd made.


Seriously thinking of throwing it all in to go and be his deckhand...lol

hey I understand what you mean I am a solo musician that plays at bars and little clubs and all that whatnot...I am a pretty decent guy I think I do enjoy getting weed but of coarse when I get some myself I always smoke with the people who smoked with me I love all of them and all the people who support me and my experiences I get from them most of my music has been from sitting around with people and talking to them about there problems and listening to stories while we all smoke and really I wouldnt have anything if it wasnt for the people I am with....

one thing I will say is I dont like all the musicians around here...because most of them cant get their heads out of there asses and thats why I stick by myself I dont plan on getting a band together because of that exact reason I dont do it to be famous or reconized...I do it to make my voice heard...using one of my freedoms that this country has givin me...I understand where kaneda7777 is coming from....

we are all grown here ...(well most of us) so I would just say lets not fight:D
