So even if your plants are getting everything else they need, if the temperature is below 70 degrees F will their growth slow dramatically?

It's generally recommended to grow your plants in the 70's. You growth will likely slow down below that, but it depends on the strain.

The temperature needs to be below 59f for extended periods of time to stunt the growth enough for you to notice.

Hope that answers your question.

Depends on yer Strain.....Some cannabis requires high heat and low hummidty, while others require med heat and higher hummidity.
I DisAgree with Zandor. If yer in the 60's for extended periods of time yield and quallity will suffer for almost any strain.

MrGuy you sure can disagree with me but; first may I point out that you seam to quote Jorge all the time. Reread what he say's about cool temperature. His temperance is 75 lights on and down to 65 lights off is the right range he recommends. "Growth slows when the temperature dips below 50 deg F" "They often yield a proportionately higher THC contend"

Even he does not recommend stressing the plants with cool temperatures and neither do I

Z man, I don't understand the THC content quote....but I'm sure you'll let me know directly.

i've got 4 different strains (c99, mango, sweet tooth and c99 x ak47) outside in pots where they've been for nearly a month now and have shown very little to no growth as the temps are down in the low 40's at night...even though we get up to the high 70's during the day...same story with my friend doing c99's in the ground. it's just too early yet for normal growth but cooler temps should just slow them down until the real warm weather gets here...like mid-may or so.

It's from jorges book.

It's important that the information is correct for others to understand and not be confused is why I corrected you. No offence meant but posting the correct information is the most important thing for everyone right?
