oh wow, go to the dentist ASAP. an infected tooth can cause YOU to become very very ill.
my dad was hospitalized in 2003 for 2 weeks because a back molar had become infected and caused his blood to become toxic.

take some good painkillers, and call your dentist, or doctor even.

seriously. a bad tooth is nothing to be fucked with.

hope you feel better:o

Yes, you need to have that sucker looked at or you may have a serious problem later on...

$2900 bucks. That is steep. I think you would go in shock. Is it a front or back tooth. Think of it cosmetically, mostly if it's in the front. Cause you don't want your front tooth missing. I thinking it is probably and inscisor or the one next to it. I think they will do financing.
Also, you can go for private dental insurance for like 30-40$ a month and it will at least chop the price in half. They will give you a root canal and cap it. If you pull the tooth you will need to get a bridge. Hope that helps.

get some good coke, and whiskey and pull it out with pliers. after all thats all the dentist does... and a cotton swab. not bad work if you can get it.
pirates charged me for 2 x rays in the same day. none of them had any bearing on what they actually did. once its out the pain stops. root canal work is only if you wanna save the toothe. Go for it.

first ask around to see if it will get infected or whatnot and then just pull the fucken thing out

It may eventually become infected. Just depends on how strong your imune system is and what bugs it's having to fight. I have a wisdom tooth that I need to have cut out, but it's so damn expensive. I'd try doing it myself, but it'd crumble and recess under the gum. I swear they prolly put some shit in our water when i was a kid that's fucked mine up. I've allways had bad teeth, but I brush, floss and rinse with mouthwash all the time. Then again, that could be what's fucking them up. Who knows.

Try going to a local university's dental school.. they perform work there at half the rate of what private dentists will charge.

The work will more than likely be done by a grad student, but under the supervision of a licensed dentist/professor. It's just as good as going to a regular practice, but a lot cheaper.

But get that tooth taken care of ASAP. I waited too long to get a cavity filled on my back molar and got an infection.. but it's all good and taken care of now. :)

Getting the tooth pulled is cheap - you can get the other work done later. The main thing is to do it soon.

I've had every type of dental problem there is - and some that many dentists had never even seen before. This was mostly due to Celiac disease, which I was only diagnosed with last year, but had my entire life.

Getting it pulled out is not a big deal - you can't take aspirin for a few days, so they'll probably give you a Rx for tylenol with codeine.

In my case a nerve died once - I drank a pint of Jack Daniels and didn't even feel it. When the nerve dies, heat hurts like hell - before that, cold hurts bad.

Yup^

Might need a root canal and you should get some antibiotics to kill the infection and probably some tylenol codene.Thats what they did to me.

I had real good luck rinsing with hydrogen peroxide. Took away the infection and made my tooth feel real better until I got to the dentist. Which is right where you need to go before you lose your tooth like I did. Also excedrin extra strength worked pretty good for the pain.:( :stoned:

please DO NOT pull ur nasty ass tooth out, lol

it can cause you hella trouble.

finance the bitch, and get an appointment.

if u pull that tooth, you'll be faced with an huge ass pain and blood everywhere attack, and also, you'll have a huge gaping hole, and if you ever want a implant tooth in that space, well, thats VERY expenisve.

leave it to the pros man:D

dude most states have what is essentailly "poor people insurance" in my state its called AHCCCS or arizonahealth care cost containment system and they use healthchoice as their HMO or whatever. you just gotta do a little research but i pay 20 bucks a month and have unlimited insurance with no co-pay, well one time i fell outta a really big tree and dislocated my shoulder and broke my heel bone, had to have surgery on both, gotta a metal plate and like 7 big ass screws (they go almost all the way thru my foot and are the width of a bic pen, i got to see it on xray, which was pretty tight) and now i got a nice big scar that stretches all the way down my foot. that one was something like $11 grand and all i had to pay was 10 bucks a month (cause i was a minor, adults it costs 20 in my state). then had to have a ligament re-attached in the shoulder a few years later (my shoulder kept poping out every time i tried to throw anything overhand or even stretch sometimes, and it even made that nasty sound like u hear on movies, almost like a wet crunch everytime it came out, and then id have to force it back in which was always so fucking hard because its so painful, cept if u do it cool like on leathal weapon lol)

but basically ive never had to pay more than like 2 bucks copay (which was one time) so you should see if your state has this, and if you meet the requirements then you can get cheap insurance that covers ER visits and shit.

you dont get the greatest doctors, which is why i dont go to the doc. i wait until it hurts enough to go to ER or goes away by itself.

and the ER is nice, they always serve up fresh shots of demoral every time i go there. and i NEVER walk out without talking my way into a script for painkillers, then if they tell me to follow up, i tell that doc that i need more pain pills (i usually say i dont have any more and the pain is still there but be creative so the doc doesnt suspect u)

then if i have any leftover when i come down from my 2 or 3 week opiate trip i sell em and buy some pot. i knows its sleezy but damn, i aint paying $11k for a chunk of metal and some screws and a few dozen pain pills. not to mention PT which sucks so much ass!

if i didnt have insurance i would have limped home after i fell outta dat tree.

Call your dentist a few minutes before they open and tell them you have an emergency and HAVE to be seen today. They will accomodate you.

If you have any codeine or the like, take a couple but try to AVOID aspirin as that's going to thin your blood and and increase your clotting time.

Don't do it yourself, if you crack the tooth while trying to extract it, it will complicate things.

If you go to the ER, NEVER request a pain med by name/dose etc. They will think you're a drug seeker and at best give you a shot of Torodol which is only a high strength NSAID.

Good luck.

Look for a dental school/college... I am getting my whole mouth done for the price of one crown at dental office...

The work is really being done by the teachers, the student does some work but the major stuff is done by an older Pro...
