HELP PLEASE! my frend got aressted today and it wasnt legit!!

okay so i live in oklahoma(jsut so everyone knows waht type of laws we got) and i go to a school with off campus lunch. so today we were sitting in roberts van and we were parked legally and no one had anything illegal out in plain sight. but the van was tagged up with spraypaint. u could tell it was a stoners van, but there wasnt n e thing about drugs or anything illegal wrote on the van. just aabuncha checkers and squigly lines and a few writings like there band name(hisum) and like "john was here" nothin bout weed tho. so were all sittin there chillin and some cops came up. one of them came up and sed "show me ur id's" so everyone who had one showed them their id. then he sed "get out of the vehicle and sit on the curb" so we did. then they started the pat down searchin. they found nothin on me or bob(the owner of the van) but they did ASK FOR PERMISSION to pat us down, doesnt that mean they DID NOT have a warrant? and i know they didnt have probable casue, but one of the grls that hang with us was smokin and shes 15 but she wasnt with us when they saw her smokin. so they had no probable cause. so they patted us down, one girl got caught wit xanax bars, but they let her of kuz her dads a cop, which is bs. a few kids got caught with tobacco and one with a straw(parafenilia) but the OWNER of the van had nothing on him. so while one dude is patting us down, another cop jumps in the van and starts searchin. he finds the box with the 2 ounces of weed in it, but it was under the couch(hah yeah theres no back seats, but theres couches) which is not in plain view. so they impounded his van and took him to jail, then said he was "selling drugs". i was there the whole time nothing was pulled out or sold the entire time. i got called into the office at school later that day, and they called my parents. then i saw bob in the attendants office, just got back from the police station(i guess they dint aresset him kuz hes 17) so i want to take this to court. they did find weed, but we can still get the charges dropped because it wasnt warrented and there was no probable cause, right? PLEASE HELP!!! if u have any questions bout the situation, just ask. if u cant find a reason for them to search the van, im taking it to court. AND ITS THE DAY BEFORE 4:20... FUCKIN COPS!!! n e wayz please help if u can!!!

so were these cops regular cops or rent-a-cops hired by your school?

And also, was ANYONE in the car smoking weed at all? From what it seems, they HAD to have some reason to come up to you and ask to so abruptly to get out and sit on the curb. I mean, if you or someone did ANYTHING to get their attention, whether it was a middle finger or a naked ass or a litered cig butt, that would give them reason enough to approach you.

And if it was a security guard-type cop from your school, were you late getting back from lunch, and they were just checking to make sure you were students and were heading back soon?

ya dude, first off, dont get in there face, but kindly tell them, or ask, sir is there a problem? I mean someone comes up say "get the fuck out of the car, sit on the curb, and then starts patting you down" red flag, ask questions, dont be dissrespectfull, but ask kindly "officer is there a problem? wee have off campus lunch. have we done anything to break the law?" from what your telling me all answers should be no, and then of course all you have to say then is cool, dont search us and kindly leave so that we may return to school. that could have been the end of your ordeal. but as the post above me, illegal search and seizure, call lawyer asap, tell him the truth the whole truth, and nothing but the fukin truth

you said they asked for permission. that's probably cause they couldn't legally do it without it. see the police won't tell you that up front, they won't just say "we can't search you unless we ask you legally, and you do'nt have to consent". they want to pressure you into saying yes and they won't advise you of your rights--they use it to get the upper hand, to find something incriminating. but if you agree to let them search you and they find anything illegal on anyone, it's probably just cause for them to search everyone. not saying that it ain't fucked up cause oklahoma fucking sucks and so do police, but yeah contact your lawyer immediatley.

ps--rent a cops have no legal authority. if any rent a cops violate your rights all you got to do is call the school board or the company they're working for and bitch to holy hell about it.
