Well, made to 44....Watched black and white tv turn to color. Star Trek computor is now sitting on my desk. The old dial phone is now my hand held Star Trek style communicator cell phone.
Vietnam, Watergate, fall of the Berlin Wall, end of the U.S.S.R., two times in Iraq, every President was/is considered evil except for Ford...he was to clumsy to be considered anything but a good fall guy.
8-track to CD. Bubblegum music, Rock, punk, alternative. 10W per channel to 150W. Tokin in concerts, Ozzy biting the head off a bat, Cooper and his snakes, Emerson Lake and Palmer with a 72 piece orchesta, Pantera and the mosh pit, Rolling Stones on The Lawrence Welk Show to the half time show of a SuperBowl.
Short hair as a kid to long hair hippie, back to short for "professional appearance" then back to long hair. Traded in the Schwin Stingray for a Harley Heritage Softtail Classic. The ol' Ford Pinto with the bumper sticker "Ass, Gas, or Grass...nobody rides for free" to a Olds Cutlass.
I recall when I was 16 I got busted at school for tokin' in the parking lot...LOL...I argued my ass off at the vice-principle on how he was wasting his time on something so petty...it would be legal within 5 years! LOL...now I'm doin' community service for growing in my own home for my own use!
Good friends moved away with family, dealing with their "out of control teens" (like we were) good friends and family gone....I've done pallbearer for both. (Big reality check!)
Here's a big ol' hit for the trials, good times, bad times, ex-wives and girlfriends of the past.:stoned:
Here's another big ol' hit for the next 44 years of change, grand kids, great grand kids, the good times and bad times and more lessons to learn.
One thing that I have learned thoughout the years, an old saying that is actually a fact. The more things change the more they stay the same. I see angry teens today and read their posts in here and can say that I was the same WAY BACK in the "70s" just not understanding and looking for answers.
All and all it was all just bricks in the wall!
Do a hit for an old man that had to ramble a bit!:D In another 44 years I'll be ol' great grandpa Psycho sitting on his front porch smokin' a pipe, boring the shit out of the kids with old stories, or maybe in a nursing home harassing some poor young nurse! :stoned:
Have a good one and remember, when things look their worse.....WTF! Tomarrows another day!
