Because Purple Haze doesnt exist anymore. It may have even been a myth that it existed in the first place. If a dealer tells you that the weed youre buying is Purple Haze, then its a load of bollocks. They just get some purple weed (can be done by lowering temperatures in flowering to make the buds purple - my two male lowryders outside have started to turn purple) and give it the name Purple Haze to get you to come back.
Anyways, my favourite is Durban Poison. Not the strongest out there, but I just love the pure sativa high.

Yeah swizzy is right, purple haze was a myth. Dealer who sell it are either trying to sell it fast, get more money, or have NO idea what they're talking about.


If a dealer thinks what hes selling is purple haze then hes a amature.

Yep, from what I understand it doesn't exist, and you are lucky if you come across some. Supposedly with the original haze, only about 1% of seeds popped are the purple pheno. The Haze brothers and Flying Dutchman I believe have the original haze genetics. Almost no dealer would ever have purple haze, and haze is not a cash crop to begin with. People usually grow it for their personal stash, and not too many will pop 100 beans, or even think about selling that purple pheno if they come across it. If you were SOLD purple haze, it was fake. If you grew out a shitload of original haze, and got the purple pheno, congrats!

I'd say the most potent I've tried is White Rhino. I have a mostly Sativa (87.5% from what I read) plant (Durban Poison x Skunk #1) growing now, along with ten clones from the single mother plant that's flowering. I've never had enough Sativa pot around to fully judge how much I like it or not in comparison to the super-Indicas. Hopefully I'll like it better than White Rhino (since I'm close to out of that anyway).

One strain I just love is Nirvana's AK-48. I know it's super cheap, and very easy to grow, but, well, I just love it! Some people really really like Dr. Pepper or blue cars or Dr. Dre or whatever. Well, I'm like that with AK-48; it just hits me perfectly for some reason. It's potent, but not the most potent. It has no interesting color characteristics, no unusual taste. I'm sure other people will scoff at my saying this, but what can I say, it's like me an AK-48 were a match made in heaven. Unless I prefer that mostly Sativa strain I'm currently growing, then AK-48 will remain my favorite. Yes, I prefer it to any diesel or blueberry or purple I've tried, or anything else. Kinda handy that the strain I love, that hits me just right in every way, just happens to be so cheap and easy to grow; no complaints about that here!

lol damn..everyone loves the commercial buds...Ak, blueberry, rhino.....but u will never look at commercial buds again..if u were born into a house of MMJ all day everyday HAHA..pops got his own grow operation..but the thing is..haha its outdoor and the cops can chop shit for nothin..why? cuz hes got the CARD BOYYY..haha..anyways..yea..he grows commercial too..but he always has 1 stock that is his "personal mix" meaning he grew it by mixing strains over the many years...ive only been alive for 19yrs......but hes been at it for..ever..haha..we harvested like a month ago..but yuea the supply never runs short..the commercialls r good..but his secret strAIN..not sure whats all in it..bcuz its just many years of work...but...he calls it "sour apple"....its fluff bud (makes an OZ. look like 2 or somethin haha) and its like...70 sativa/ 30 indica......not LIGHT green..but like..umm..how do i say this....RICH GREEN? iuno if that makes sense..but the green looks greener than normal? hahaha iuno..but yea...super sticky from the core(stem) to the outer layer of the fan leaves ...reaks of a "sour" smell..and a small hint of apple (the green ones..yea they smell different from the red and yellow ones..haha)then when u crackit..it smells like straight up SOUR APPLE no joke...haha...

You're right, CityBoyGoneCountry, there's nothing at all wrong with the fact that the strain I like the best is one of the cheapest to buy (seeds), and very easy to grow. I just expected people to give me shit over it, because it's not some uber-rare or fruity or purple or expensive-to-buy strain. What can I say, I'm a simple guy, I like Marlboros for cigs, Coke for soda, Michelob for beer (when I drink it), and AK-48 for buds. Doesn't mean I don't LIKE other strains of pot, or types of beer or cigs or sodas, but I prefer what I prefer!

I dont like paying loads for seeds, i mean, i recently got some HOG seeds that were £150 for 30 seeds, so £50 for 10 seeds, bloody expensive, and i know i know, your paying for genetics but damnnn.

I like the simple strains, that give me the high i love. K2 has an amazing skunky smell, and is easier to grow than white strains [according to the seed site, they're all easy to grow if you got the know how] and NL is great because it has an amazing body stone, which i love.

I might try a cross between HOG and NL, see how that turns out. Only on one plant though, dont wanna fuck up a whole harvest LOL.
