longest i've gone without is 6 months, and that is thanks to clark county, nv...for some reason having and raising kids made it all the more necessary for mental well being, if nothing else and have no idea how you made it through those toddler years without mother nature's help ...lol

my wife didn't smoke either and we got by for 16+ years...!
it can be a blessing too...makes the buds last that much longer and mine always took care of the plants when i was gone. she just had a thing about the smoke and smell, for whatever odd reason...anyway, i never saw her take a toke (but she did like her shrooms)!

I've never taken a break longer than a month or so and it's been prolly 6 years or so since then. My wife and I have allways smoked together but she quit for about a year because of a job. It was wierd ad first then we got used to it. Now she can smoke again and it's as fun as it's allways been :D

haha yea anytime one of my buddies quits, we'll be supportive for like a few days and try to hide when we're smoking from them so that they don't give in and smoke, but then after a while we just blaze up and pass them the bowl. if they can pass it up, they have amazing willpower
EDIT: oh yea the longest i've gone without is 2 months last summer. from right after bonnaroo till when i went to school. so yea a little more than 2 months. it was tough because it wasn't voluntary quitting (parents). but i went back and its been wonderful. i can't seem to find bud thats as good as what i used to smoke though. occasionally we'll get stuff thats better, but overall its a notch below what i used to smoke on a daily basis (i still smoke the kind buds exclusively, just not as pretty as the buds i used to smoke)

I've stopped...I've started, lol...I actually stopped the first time for the same reason...pregnancy and baby -- but I started back up about 2 yrs after and then had to stop for my next pregnancy and baby; but now that they are a little older and mommy gets some alone time I am definitly back, lol...and as someone else previously stated - the blessings of this earth helps me to tolerate the toddler age, lol. When kiddy's go nighty night mommy get to relax with daddy, lol.

i've always said that i'll stop if i have a kid, just for a little while, if only to have more money (which is probably important if you're raising a kid) and to stay out of trouble with the law (what good is a daddy who's in jail).

Oh yeah, I've quit for months and even years at a time. It's not addictive, so I never really had a prob going without. In fact, I like smoking for a while and then quitting for a while, since my vocabulary starts to suffer when I've smoked a lot for a while, but that effect goes away once I've been dry for a month or two.

I've been saying I want to put it away for months now. I succumb to peer pressure too easily.
