This isn't my band, or a local band or anything, and I strongly encourage anyone with preconcieved notions about this band to at least listen to the first song from the CD, 'Valkyrie Missile'...

I have a leaked copy of the as yet unreleased Angels and Airwaves CD, "We Don't Need to Whisper". Since Blink 182 broke up, this is Tom DeLonge's new band, only it's nothing like Blink 182...the only thing I could equate it to is a couple of songs from their last CD before they broke up: very atmospheric, influenced by the Cure, and INCREDIBLE to listen to while you turn off the lights, smoke a couple of bowls, and listen to it start to finish. This is the FINAL COPY, leaked purposely by Tom DeLonge himself, with the actual release date set for a month.

Influenced by the cure eh? Well the cure is one of my top 5 bands so i shall give em a go!

Hey wait a tick... Robert smith the singer from the cure sang vocals in blinks latest release, I was a little surprised then i remembered that the cure had a bunch of influence on their last cd

It's like a very updated version of the Cure, I personally like it more, but the Cure still fuckin' rocks.

If you're listening to the whole CD, you gotta listen to it from start to finish, it's a lot better that way. If you're listening to individual songs, I recommend "Valkyrie Missile", "The Adventure", "It Hurts", "Start the Machine", and "The War".

Do you know if they got robert smith to do vocals in any of the tracks like in that other cd, that would be pretty cool.

Nah, but that song on their last CD with him on vocals was AWESOME.

BTW I forgot to mention there's definately a lot of U2 influence on this CD.

Yeah, I'd say it's definately emo-tinged, but it's light years ahead of anything My Chemical Romance or Taking Back Sunday have ever made.

ok i have to reply to this thread again. i know its old and shit but i was listening to these guys a while ago and wow. i gota say this is some of the best stuff ive ever heard. it is a bit on the emo side but its incredible. you can definatly tell its the same lead singer as blink 182 which is a bit of a downer because i didnt really like brlink 182 that much but im setting that aside because this stuff is great. i highly reccomend the whole album to anyone who likes this kind of music but "a littles enough" and "it hurts" at great songs, as the entire album is. if anyone has anything similar to this, what are they called. THANKS ACID FREAK!.

This is better than Blink 182 ever was.

That doesn't say much, it isn't bad, isn't great either.

yea lol i think everyone went through a blink 182 phase and just dont want to admit it. i dont have a problem saying they were definatly a great band but had a few fuck ups, and they pretty much sold out.
