to my knowledge, they are one and the same thing, except some models dont have fans ... and the jury is still out as to whether ozone is bad for plants ... I'd like to know more about them, myself ... I want to get a couple of these gizmos, but want to know more, first ... P.S., your signature quote was by Hunter S. Thompson ... Dr. Johnson makes the sex toys ... :D

According to Hunter S. Thompson R.I.P. the quote was from one named Dr. Johnson (it's in the book and movie of "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas") But I got a smell problem, and in my situation I think a unit to keep the enitre room smell free would be the best (closet grow). so I was wondering what would be better, they seem about the same price on the net, so I wanted a little info. on which would be more beneficial. Have there been problems with the ozone generators? is that why you said it is unknown weather or not they harm plants?

You probally don't wana hear this but a carbon scrubber is better than either of those. It works best with a fan but you can still leave it in the room and it will soak all odors, its just a canaster so you don't need to use any power like a generator, it just sits there. Ozone generators will rape the smell but are noisy as fuck and I heard they cause cancer. There's a good guide on here on how to make a carbon scrubber with just a bucket with holes and a pc fan. Save your money on those and either buy or make a carbon scrubber.
