Hey Torog....just a quick question for you. I know you had to go talk to the man recently about that situation. You had said you'd come back and let us know how you are and how things turned out. I am assuming that you cannot do so from what I read in a previous post.

Yup..I'm okay so far..I do still have to go before the judge and render a plea,I was told that if I accept the conviction,that I will git a 300$ fine and be put on probation,no reporting,just to set up a payment system,sounds pretty good to me-as they could have made it much worse.

The other thing that I said I couldn't talk about,is about how I wound up in trouble to begin with. One thing that disturbs me and pisses me off,is that on the investigation report that I recieved a copy of,the lead investigator reccomends that the case remain open. I suppose to see if I start letting folks send me gifts of compassion again,through the mail..well I learned my lesson about that-and I ain't gonna be doing that again!

Have ya'll heard that funding for the task forces been took away? Read it the other day. Good hair Perry sending it to the border to fight the evil smugglers.

Yup..I heard of that and I asked my defender about it and he said that the funding may have gone away,but that they are still in operation,just under a different guise. 'They' know-that crack and meth,are the true danger to our community,but they still believe in wasting their time with marijuana prosecution.

Thanx for yer support man:) I've been toking since '72,myself,and it was wierd to think-that I'd been toking longer than most of the task force fellers in my living-room had been alive...lol. Now that I've been 'outed',as a medical user of marijuana,I need to git involved and try to make a difference-shame on me for not doing such until now. To that end,I have already changed my website to include banners for TMM and LEAP,gonna put up the NORML and MPP banners soon. Being outed to my family,has allowed me to do such,before-I didn't want them to know what was really going on with me.

Yup..I hope that we are both alive,to see some real change,here in Texas and elsewhere,we came close to passing the medical need defense bill and decrim of small amounts,gotta keep the pressure on and I'd be willing to testify before the State legislature,if that's what it takes.

Try to keep a low profile for awhile. But if you decide to go out in a blaze of glory, let us know so that we can get good seats!!!!! :thumbsup:

My lawyer basically argued my charge down to a class c misdemeanor,I was given a 300$ fine and no probation,plus court costs of 261$,to be paid in 6 months time. Yay !! And to top it all off,my gal got word last night,that she'd be gittin 10k in 30 days,from the sale of her deceased parent's property..YaY ! God has smiled upon us brother--and all of my worries and troubles,will be washed away ! :) I just have to be a good boy..which I will be-I tell you what ! I've learned my lesson-thank God,that it wasn't the hardest way possible.
