OK, I'm looking for some info from people who know/have experience with this sort of thing. Bought 4 of the test kits so I could have peace of mind after a night of a little too much fun. It's the ones with a red line in the control box and a red/pink line in the THC box. Used one the first week, and passed with a very faint line. Used another the next week, and passed with a very similar faint line. AT this point I figure I'm good, but I'm still a little worried because of the coloring. So three weeks after the fact I test myself again, and get a darker, albeit a still faint line, and then a week after that, since I have no use for a test sitting around and I don't want anyone asking questions about it, I use the last one, and get a fainter line than the week before.
I checked some websites, and some said that the color of the line couldn't give you any clues as to the levels of THC, and some said that if it was a "very, very faint line," it should still be considered negative but confirmatory tests might be a good idea. So what gives. What's the science behind these things and can anyone say definitively whether or not the opacity of the line gives any indication as to THC levels?
The most recent test, where the line was as faint as it was the first time I took one, was 5 weeks after a one bowl (about 7 hits) consumption. I'm 6"0, 170, so I know slow metabolism isn't a problem. And I'm a very, very infrequent user, maybe twice a year since I graduated. Knowing that, I'm leaning towards the line can't tell you anything about specific levels, but I'd be interested if anyone knows.
