you could turn your light on 24 hr continious light cycle or 18/6 or 12/12 fans are used to control temp and to help your plants build stronger stalks due to wind resistance turn off and on as often as needed what kinda lights are you useing? and how old are your plants
hope this helps good luck
You need to read. Dont come on and ask questions when you havnt bothered reading ANYTHING.
Minimum requirments: CFL Lighting on 18 hours a day, with 6 hours a day in complete darkness.
Good soil. Not miricle grow.
A small/big fan, depending on ho much your growing.
The fan should be on all the time to control temps, and to strengthern the stems so they dont just fall over.

i agree but i would also say that 18/6 is a better light cycle as the 6 hours dark help give ya plants a break and time to re energise
cheers hope this helps

There is a long debate over whether 18/6 or 24/0 is better. My plants grew fine under 14/10.
I would use 18/6 to more closely mimic a natural environment. You'll save alot on electricicty too.
14/10... i think that is a little bit too close to 12/12 for my liking, although if it works, then thats great.

On a serious note it reminds me of a scary dude from my old neighbourhood who used to call himself Marshall .He would chase all us all over the scheme and when he caught any of us he would pull out a plastic sherrif badge and try and drag us of to the police statoin.Man that dude scared the shit out of me.He never had no chance of catching me fear drove me on.So every time i see it i think of him

I would not ever do 24/0 light cycles for many reasons. From what's ive read and seen most of the plants growth takes place in the night hours. It needs time to recuperate. And it just isn't natural. No where in the World do plants have 24 light except a very small area in the World and its cold as fuck... ahaha
MY avatar is Bubbles from the program Trailer Park Boys. It's about 3 canadians called Ricky, Julian and bubbles and they grow weed, seel it, steal hash and sell it, steal liquor, get drunk and stoned and its awesome!!!!
It's on paramount.... And that guy your talking about scares me, and i aint never seen him lol!!!!

So your saying to do 18/6 as in 6 hours of light?

I slip the light from 18/6 to 14/10 for a week or so before dropping to 12/12. When I had a PCB in a computer I programmed it to cut the light back 15min/day for a few weeks to get from 20/4 to 12/12. Probably no sound basis for doing it, and from what I'm reading on this forum it ultimately makes for a longer time till harvest, but it seems like a more natural thing than going WHAM! from 20/4 or 18/6 to 12/12. Where in nature does that happen?
nah bro flip that. 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark. have you formed a grow-site yet, or are you just piecing information together to figure out how you are going about it.
you can see that ive been experimenting with things and all that good stuff in my little grow log. im only using flourescent lights for my grow because im afraid that a 400 MH/HPS system would use too much energy and i am a poor poor bastage.
hope that helped,
Dion
