Well it's starting to get real warm and I'm getting the fishing bug real bad. I'm sitting here watching some dude hooking big ass redfish in the mosquito lagoon (which is 10-15 mins away) and it's killing me. It's been windy, I need bait, have no spoons left, 1 jig, and I need all the little shit like spinners, weights, and some leaders. I've been fishing the last few weeks barebones with a carolina rig, but it's about time to stock up and go out for a day. I remember seeing a fishing thread a while back and was wondering if anyone else around here likes to fish and if so, where do you go and what are you fishing for?

hahahahahaha thats so funny cause me and my friend have the same thing.
we just want to go camping for our spring break (in late april) smoke a lot and just fish all day in the warm sun...we live in jersey and are gonna drive like 2 hours south to a national park, camp out, bring drinks, bring nuggies and just chill out and fish and hike all day long. its gonna be sick. we thought we were complete fools for just having that urge (im a vegetarian hahaha [so were not eating the fish, just throwing them back]) but im glad to see its normal

Ohh yea. The fishing bug is as normal as it gets for me. It's just so damn fun. Weed, no weed, beer no beer. It's just fun. Unless I just catch something so big I want to mount it or eat it. I ususally release them. Fishing is one of the very few things aside from sex that I will wakeup before the sun to do.

I like to quiver tip and float fish at the same time... I like going in the summer and spring more in the winter but ill go anytime really... Very relaxing when stoned... and when im at work i can go fishing almost whenever i want because i work on the Norfolk Broads for a boat yard...

A fly fishing pole is a long flexible one that lets you whip the lure over the water. I've never been good at it, but I've seen people on tv land some big fish doing it. I'd like to get me a good fly fishing rig and head up to the lagoon one day soon though.
too as in also

Went out fishing for the first time this year. Only one we caught was caught by my son, and it was about a pound bass.
I live in Iowa, right by the mighty Des Moines. There's nothing better than on a hot summer day to take the canoe out to the river. Load the line with a wad of stinkbait and wait for the cats to bite.
And by the way there's nothing wrong with eating fish. Personally I don't eat anything that comes out of the water, but I think it is a very rewarding to catch and clean your own meal. What the heck is wrong with that?
