Dear All,

I notice my plant which is only 1 week old the stem already 5cm long & some of it cannot stand straight already! 1 of it the leave head already drooping like a U shape, maybe dieing!

Is it normal for my plant growing at 5cm & what should I do with the u shape one? Please advise urgently!!

Thanks!

You need a better light. They are stretching and becoming stringy. Get them sunlight. Fill soil all the way up to the leaves if you can. The part you bury will become part of the root system. They need more intense light but becareful and watch temperatures. Don't wanna burn your plants.

Ok, thanks & how to make the stem fatter 'cos I notice it is very skinny & flimsy. Should I add the organic fertilizer now?

:D

Stake it up or add a fan to simulate wind and make the stems stronger.
Move the light close!

You might want to make a brace out of toothpicks or bamboo skewers and pipe cleaners while you figure out what to do with it. Something to hold it up.

I have rebury it deeper up to the leave but it is still growing very slow due to raining for the past few days here & only got about 4 or 5 hrs of sun each day! Hope it will develope more leaves so I can add the organic fertilizer which I just bought!

I'm having the same problem with some of my plants. So I clipped the tops off this scissors to a few plants to slow growth. This will cause the plant to bush out. Try to give as much sun light as possible.

this happened to mine, but the stems were much longer, it was still healthy but i just snipped them and started over, i marked it up as a lesson and got a better light

Do you mean that we can snip off the top portion & the plant still can grow better???

Currently my 2 weeks plants is growing well already after I transplant them deeper into the pot & have about six small leaves growing due to much more sunlight these 2 days after the rain for the past weeks!

aparently if u pile soil up the stem to much it causes stem rot so try not to do too much just enoutgh to help it stand up

I was just wondering how to keep my plant from getting too tall because i cant have it be more than 3 or 4 feet otherwise someone might see it. I heard that you have to cut the top off?
