figure .2 max. Mebbe less depending on you drying technique. My tests weighing fresh and dry are always about .2 - .22. Never saw .33 in cured, smokable bud.

Del... is completely right on that one, its about 70 - 80 % water in the bud, so you'll loosea hell of alot. Thats why you never buy wet weed, cos you get ripped...

I was looking for a good method of re-moisturizing bud that had gotten too dry. I'd read about adding apple or orange peel, putting a wet cotton ball in the container, etc. All seemed to have drawbacks I didn't like: danger of moulding, favoring, or otherwise damaging the stash. One morning as I was burping the canister with one hand and steaming the milk for my latte with the other, it occured to me that sometimes the left hand ought to know what the right hand is doing. I put the cannister under the nozzle and gave the bud a really quick shot of steam -- as fast as I could open and close the valve. Problem solved, instantly!

Adding a chunk of parsley for 1-2 days...
THIS can turn make brittle BUD... into yummy squeezable bud

Thankyou garden knowm, im gunner try that...

To re-moison my bud when im curing i usually just use lettuce... it has no flavour so you still get the lovely skunky smell

What about shrinkage? A first timer, myself, I appreciate learning about the weight loss, but how much size do they lose? I've seen what leaves and stems do.

Would buds that normally fill, say a film canister shrink horribly? After years of storing 1/8ths, which usually fit well in canisters, I still use them as measuring sticks.

i wouldent worry about it notanotherteensmoker no matter what ya end up getting off ya plant will be a bonus and as for your question about shrinkage you will just have to see when ya shit is ready
some strains are difreent and loose difrent amounts during the drying process
so i guess its up to the final stage befour ya will find out the true calcalation ya are looking for
cheers hope this helps

thanks busteruk 7...I didn't know that different strains shrink differently. I guess it all matters on how dense the buds are with plant material vs. actual size.

And yes, I do consider it all a bonus (even the leaves) and am grateful for the experience. No dealers, no mind games, no hassles. Just right.
