So it's my first time growing and I have three holes dug in different places. Should I buy some soil or just use what was there? I got all the rocks and roots out of there and I'll probably put 3 or 4 seeds in each hole. Should I put the seeds in the ground or get them started?

Thanks for any help or tips.

yeah, and when you do plant them put some snail killer around them!

I don't see like any snails around here(Tennessee) but there are a lot of deer and rodents. I'll probably start them in pots, but just in case I can't they still have a pretty good chance of survival if I plant them in the ground and visit them almost every day right?

Make sure to use soil in the holes not the dirt that is out there!

Is there a certain or best type of soil I should buy or can it be any kind. My Dad grows strawberries and other things so I can get soil he has. He also has trays that you can plant about 20 seeds in, will that work as well as a pot?

well, nutral ph, sterile soil with no nutes or only organic nutes.PH should be around 7.0...that tray should work fine for poping the seeds.Lets see it. I'm not sure what you mean.

I'll take a pic of the tray and soil I can get. I'll be back later tonight.

Does it matter if I have different kinds of seeds growing together? I have like 1 blueberry seed and some pretty good stuff that's grown outside around here.

I can't get the pics on here. It just says uploading files - please wait, but nothing ever happens.

well I went ahead and put 50 seeds in a tray. The soil was dry but I watered it a lot, let it dry a little, put the seeds in, and then put a bit more water. I put the tray in a box with foil in it so it would get more light, was that ok?
