If it is an established plant.. meaning it is several inches or more TALL.. and it has good roots.. and is in a 1+gallon pot under normal 70-80 F temperatures..
Then you should water it thoroughly.. 1/2 gallon or more.... then let it dry..
let the top 3 inches of the soil dry out and then thoroughly water it again...
This is called "CORRECT WATERING"
You will end up watering about every 3-10 days...
Many new growers love their plants to death by over watering..
Many veteran growers are just to unconcious to learn...
LOL i love
If you dont thorughly water your plants and just water a little bit here and a litttle bit there then your roots will all acumulate n the bottom ofthe piot and your plant will get root bound and then you will be posting about TRANSPLANTING,,

So water thoroughly with PH balanced water 6.8 and then leave her be until she is thirsty again..
If you can mix perlite with your soil.. about 20% perlite 80% soil...
All your friends will think your a pro and your girlfriend will love you that much more and most importantly it will become that much harder to accidentaly overwater your plant..

Get a garden sprayer is my advice.
A one gallon should dry every 2 days.
5 to 10% perlite
80% peat moss
5% earthworm castings
5 to 10% compost soil
2% love

Thats my method too, works wonders
Well, make sure you have very good drainage, and then water every couple of days or when the first 2-3 inches of soil are dry.
