That looks good. I was considering getting a 400w HPS in a much much smaller space than that. With your space with 250 would work great as long as you have ventilation of some kind... I think

Looks like a good light... you'd be able to grow some very nice plants with that .... and get a decent yeild.

On one of the threads today I saw a 400 watter for 90 bucks but it did not have a sealed shade. I like to let mine hang straight down but depends how you grow.

junkboxer,

I say save yourself some money. You can get that same light for $40 including shipping on Ebay. That leaves $150 for some $$seeds, fan, pots, soil and fertilizer. Thats the way I did it now I grow Basic Diesel and thats some of the best weed in world. But what do I know it's your money.

you would be running at minimum wattage per square foot for 3by3 9square feet i'd be looking for a 400 watter or 600 4by 4 16 square feet 1000 watter or 2 1000 watt, don't remember for sure but i think it's 30 watts per square foot to sustain growth 50 watts for max growth

The wattage per sq ft opinion depends on who you are talking to. I personally go with 50 watts per sq ft for veg and 70 watts per sq ft for flowering and it works perfect for me.

Your light looks looks great for a start buddy! I also like the design of the hood, it could be very easily modified for air cooling if you decide to go that route which i would suggest. Good luck and safe growing!
