Lumens question's and nutrient info as well as some sytem and how-to are located in the growfaqs. All growgaqs here at cdot are tried and tested factoids.

everyone here would benefit, if they took an hour to read the growfaqs.

and for you folks that are just lazy asses....I don't want any replies, in which you state that you don't have time...posting and waiting and debating theories take alot more time than reading a growfaq. goodluck and
Welcome to Cdot:)

I vote for this becoming a Pop-Up window when you access the boards...

Well, maybe not so much as a pop-up...

But I'm with LateWood on this one... people HAVE to start reading the FAQs, the Stickies, the other threads, and using the search function!

Thanks LWood...

What's a lumen, and where can I buy growfaqs, it sounds great but I can't find it in any store? Is it a liquid or powder?

Better pissed off than pissed on.

Mission for all new growers, develop a liquid version of growfaqs! I am sure it will absorb quicker.

I think building Grow FAQs is a great idea. I think the best thing about OG was their FAQ section. Could we set something up like that. So that approved FAQs would not be in the format of a thread. They could be built into HTML pages and even linked to Wikipedia. It would require a lot of work. I think the first step would be for people to go through the FAQ and other useful threads and setup pictures and instructions into an comprehensible webformated page. I'm will consider attempting to do some of this. I don't know if I have the knowledge base to complete the task. I will try, if we can all agree that that is something we would like to see restored to the web.

Zandor usually takes a thread that we all want in the growfaqs, then he removes all the excess posts unless they pertain to the subject and then locks it in growfaqs.

I was surprised how easy it is to get a good thread posted.

If it is a valid subject, then all you have to do is ask!

so, your idea is already in effect, we just need the facts, lw

I once helped build a growfaq using post-and-thread construction with a little duc tape and the sawzall. It was bigger on the inside than the outside, delivered more than it consumed, was computer monitored, cycled 24/0, and worked either hydro or conventional. If used correctly, it garaunteed happier plants, bigger yields, and redder eyes. I'd recommend one for anyone interested in growing anything at all.

But wait! you don't have to reinvent the wheel, so to speak . . . .there's a really good grofaq offered for free, right here!

Theres too many people comming on asking stupid questions because they've started growing and have no idea about how to grow...

It annoys me people are too lazy to take the time to raed the grow faq's...

It's actually enjoyable to read them!

I've got one that's been itchin' for a long time...

I'd like to start a thread (then, hopefully becoming a FAQ) about tools.

The tools we use. Yes, many people would rather shell out the money than build it themselves, but, there's many other do-it-your-self-ers.

A FAQ about tools... things I'm thinking:
-Drill (with drill bits)
-Dremel (very handy piece of machinery)
-good quality set of pliers, cutters, etc.
-good clamps
-handsaw
-duct tape
-measuring tape (!)
-glues (wood glue, silicones, PVC glue, etc.)

Something along those lines... maybe people can get an "idea" of what sort of tools come in handy in this kind of hobby.

There are other tools, like pH meters, EC meters, etc... but, this are, um, "construction" tools of sorts.

Anyways,
What do you say people?

Peace and love, you bunch of GrowFAQ snorting-skateboarding-surfer-rasta growers...
