2]then there are the ones who take this shit for real.
the way a normal person looks upon his family the gangster will treat his gang as family.these are the fellas that go to jail and the cemetery for the hood.

Gangs are pretty worthless to me. I mean, what is the point? What is even the point of them to be loyal to each other, since they sure know they are all scum? They are not fighting for a cause, yet for that cause(the gang itself) they are ready to ruin their own life and everyone elses. To me it seems like joining a gang is a very bad type of self deceit: you propably do it because you wanna boost your ego, to improve yourself into this "bad gangsta", and to get a 'herd' of your own. In reality you just degrade yourself into doing vanity, and the herd you get is a bunch of morons.

I might try to take gangs a little more seriously if they had something else to do except to...gang around.

By "gangs", I guess you mean clubs consisting of boys that are raised without a positive male role-model. They attempt to compensate for a bad family life, and lack of discipline, by creating their own little "family" structure in the form of a gang.
