Poor thing. Doesn't even know it. Hopefully, the baby will make it through.

I will pray for your friends grandbaby, and even with brain damage these babies can have a life...one of our grandchildren was born premature (twins) one of them (the boy) did not even weigh a pound..had multiple surgeries and actually spent the first year of his life in childrens hospital..during one of the surgeries he stopped breathing and has brain damage from that but he is so beautiful now! We bought him a game that makes loud noises and has bright lights on it and when he crawls to it and pushes his knee on it...you should see his face! He is doing much better (5 years old now)...he has a permanent feeding tube but we hope one day he will be ablt to eat by mouth...he has never chewed food and weighs about 20 lbs now..never walked..but crawling...he makes me so happy when I watch his face when he "discovers" something new. I really wish her well...just tell her to be strong and babies are alot stronger than we would ever believe..please let me know how things progress. God Bless.
