Bong Cleaner!

I am always looking for new things and products to clean my bong with and I think now I have hit the jack pot! Very inexpensive compared to the "resin hater" you get at the head shops for 10$ a bottle! no come on thats a whole gram I could have bought! Wanna know the secret? OVEN CLEANER!!! just the basic kind you would have in your house eaither in a airosol can or just the spray kind! spray down whatever piece you have being very careful not to get any of it on your skin! It works so good it will eat away at you! Let it sit for as long as you want the longer the better obviously but it works so well I was in a hurry the other day and cleaned out the 'honey bear' only took about 5 mins and she is spotless! give it a little scrub with a tooth brush or whatever and your good to go! I am hoping that it dosent cause any health problem when smoking considering it is made from chemicals! But it is used to clean your oven where you cook your food so I dont see why there would be a problem!:thumbsup:

409 eats resin like kids eat candy too, and i'm sure is much less toxic/corrosive/safer then oven cleaner... if i've needed to clean resin (i usually scrape so i can smoke, but sometimes that's just not practical) i've always either used 409 or hot water/rubbing alcohol/salt combination... 409, spray it and let it sit for awhile, wash with warm soapy water afterwards, then rinse with more water, i like to use cold water if i'm about to smoke out of it (my bong tends to be kind of warm/hot after i wash it, if i'm going to smoke out of it, i want it cold as usual, so i rinse with cold water) if i'm not about to smoke, i'll use hot water again, as it evaporates faster...

oh yea, for the alcohol, i'll pour the alcohol into the peice (not alot, but it needs to be a good ammount) swish it around a bit, to make sure the whole thing has atleast been coated in alcohol, then i pour in some more (in my bong it's about a half a cup total, probably less tho) then i pour in a very generous ammount of salt (i'm not sure how this helps, but i'm pretty sure it acts like an abbrasive when shaken, kind of like you'd use sand paper or a wire bristle brush to clean off dirty as fuck car parts) and shake it like hell for atleast a minute, then i just have to rinse it out and it's like new again... tho, be very careful about this method if you have any thin glass peices, i used this on the slide part of my bong, and less than a week later it broke, i didn't hit it, jar it, or put much pressure on it at all... i'm almost positive that this weakened the slide, but a slide is pretty damn thin too... my pipes/bongs been cleaned with this method and i've not had any problems, just with that damn slide... i had to rig my pretty bong.. damnit.. now instead of a slide i have a combination of a bic pen, a 'plastic sheet' from a 20 oz dr. pepper bottle and a bunch of electrical tape, it works well, and unless you look down inside you can't really tell that it's not supposed to be that way (i made sure to 'make' a clean-looking slide, as i don't judge on hits alone when it comes to bong, looks are a major factor in it...)

I use this stuff called BLING. It works really really well. It takes about 2 minutes to use, depending on how dirty your bong is, and it looks brand new.

Orange Chronic is what i use its like $6 for a big bottle, but when i dont have money for it or run out i just use sea salt and water... works good

i dont' have a dishwasher, well i do.. when we moved from our other house to this one they (grandparents) took the dishwasher out, but never put it in..... and as far as i know, that bitch is still sitting out in the garage... but yea, if anyone wants a easy simple way to clean out your bong, use 409, spray it on, let it soak (the sides, you don't need to soak like a whole 16 inch bong submersed in 409) for a few mintues, then just give it a simple rubbing (not scrubbing) with a brush, and it'll be like brand new, i guess this would be best for those teens not able to buy the shit (actuall bong cleaner) online or from a headshop btw, i've used both the alcohol method and the 409 method, 409 works better, alot better. i only use alcohol when i have no 409 (which i actually haven't had in years) NOTE!!! THE ORANGE 409 DOES NOT WORK! it must be the original formula (or a concentrated formula if they make it, just the orange shit does not work for anything...i could do better with my teeth and water then orange 409 could)

oven cleaner also works great to clean the engine of your car... I had mine looking like a showcar under the hood in about and hour.

clothes washing powder is the best i've found. A 2kilo box'll last you months of cleaning after every sesh for about $3. Just put a few teaspoons in ur bong, top up with hot water, let it sit for a minute and watch the resin bubble off... Try it, you'll be amazed... Those bong cleaners you get in headshops are the biggest rip off, you just paying for the words 'bong cleaner'!
