i thought you knew bout this type of stuff. thats what they call the tail. plant it with the tail going down. the top of the plant is still in the seed. few days go by the shell falls off and a lil guy says hi.

The thing coming out is a taproot, you should very very carefully place the seed in some pre-watered potting soil with the end of the taproot pointing down. Very carefully cover it up, and it should be just below the surface, like a depth equal to the height of the seed.

In the same boat as nightprowler. I just got a couple little fellas sprouting tap roots now and i'm trying to find out what type of potting soil is best to start with. any ideas or experiences?

once they sprout the tail, shoudl u put them in a tiny pot and keep them inside till they sprout then move them outside? or what...thats what i want to do but i duno if i can put them straight from tail form into the ground.
