Ok all you cultivators, here's my situation.

I've got plenty of room, (nice full basement). I plan on building several large cabinets. No more than 10 pots at a time and I want to build them right, top shelf lighting, venting & scrubbers, monitors, etc.

What I need is the most reliable watering system there is. I travel frequently for up to a week at a time and I don't want to waste seeds with a system that must be monitored daily.

Is it a hopeless situation? Has anyone had experience with a setup that can be relied upon for 5-7 day undisturbed?

Any suggestions for efficient light placement as well. Since I can't raise the lights every other day, I will need to leave them a little higher ;) than optimal.

I'm thinking, reflective mylar not only on the walls but on top of the medium with holes cut for the stems. Or is this a waste? Does photosynthisis occur on the bottom of the leaves?

Any thoughts?

1. Kick ass screen name man, The Pharcyde is one of the best rap groups ever.
2. I'm not sure what to tell you about the grow room. sounds like you require a lot automation though. As far as watering goes, check out the included link http://blumat.theshoppe.com.

I tried to buy the domain name about 8 years ago but they had it already.

I'm day-dreaming constantly about the IntelliDose and the IntelliClimate.

They control your pH, nutrient levels, CO2, temperatures, humidity, lights, etc.

You can find those two products (and their $$$ accessories) in www.BGHydro.com

Exactly what I'm looking for Turtle. I've looked a controllers before but the phone text messaging alarms and remote control via internet/PC are perfect.

But I see what you mean $$$!

Thanks man!!

Yeah man... they're impressive...

So far, it's around $6,000 the entire setup I'd like... and that's for a 20"x40" cabinet! I think it's just going to have to wait...

If you get anything, any one of them, or another type of controller setup, please let us know... I'm very interested in this!

Best,
