TIP CURL

WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS? I'VE SEARCHED, BUT NO CAN FIND. ALSO, WHAT CAUSES THIS YELLOW? I AM KILLING THIS PLANT ANYWAY, BUT JUST COURIOUS WHY JUST ONE PLANT DID IT. THNX

BTW,, THIS IS TWO DIFFERANT PLANTS.

I have never seen either of those symtoms before. The burning in the second picture looks like a lock up of a micro element because the tips are not burned. It seems as if there was a lock up then it was fixed and new growth emerged healthily.

I would guess the first is a sativa that needs more lumens.

Feed your plant some serious Phosphor (P in label N-P-K) mixing a good P fert and use distillated water if possible. Start half strength and look how it react. Give it a shot ;)

my tips curl like that also ... but I dont bother trying to fix it it never gets worse ... unless your trying to get a pic in high times or somthing that realy doesnt matter .... the yellow.....NO IDEA mine turn a little yellow at bottom of plant half way through flowering but never on the top like yours ...dont know ..sorry

lol....mine r just like that ....<----<<< has never had a plant die after the curl that i didnt kill on perpos....you made it this far your doing fine , plant look good other than the curl..wish I had a cam I would show you .....its nothing to worry about ....peace

How hot does it get in your grow area? I have always thought it was cause of my high heat temps in my room for 5/h cause of my co2 set up , but never changed it to see ....but fat buds every time...if your plants aint turning a very noticable yello color...and the tips ant dieing and the new growth looks good ....its all good , some leaves on the lower part of the plant will wither and die in the 12/12 cycle though , need stored energy to flower cuts off resorces it no longer needs .....you know ..." use it or lose it "...lol...dont mind me ... <has a buddy that grows shrooms also.... tripping hard core...WoooHooo..been peaking for a hour so far ....lol....any way ...lol..curl is ok man...peace

Potassium (K) Toxicity

Usually not absorbed excessively by plants. Excess potassium can aggravate the uptake of magnesium, manganese, zinc and iron and effect the availability of calcium.

Magnesium is a component of the chlorophyll molecule and serves as a cofactor in most enzymes.

Magnesium deficiency will exhibit a yellowing (which may turn brown) and interveinal chlorosis beginning in the older leaves. The older leaves will be the first to develop interveinal chlorosis. Starting at leaf margin or tip and progressing inward between the veins. Notice how the veins remain somewhat green though as can be seen in pic2


This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil.

If the starting water is above 200 ppm, that is pretty hard water, that will lock out mg with all of the calcium in the water. Either add a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salts or lime (both will effectively reduce the lockout or invest into a reverse osmosis water filter
