They might just be too cold. Make sure that they are between 70 and 80 degrees F (whatever C that is), and if need be you can just start them in soil under a light to keep them warm, but in this case don't let them get too warm, try to stay in that 70 to 80 degree range. You may also want to invest in a Germination Station, it's got a heat mat, or a heat mat and a Sunleaves Float and Grow. Or just get Sunleaves plugs for the float and grow and put the plugs in soil, water plentifully, and put under a warm light or just let them sit in a warm room.

Hi Lady..

the key to sprouting seeds is moisture... but a glass of water is over kill..

Some people will soak the seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours.. no more..

If you put the seeds into rockwool cubes and keep the cubes moist.. they will sprout eventually...

Unless they are just BAD seeds...

: )

good luck

I've tried various methods of germinating. This works best for me. Me. To each their own. Humidity dome, peate pelletes, 2 26w warm spectrum cfls for initial light + warmth.

Soak peate pellet's till fully expanded. Take a small poker, push seed pointy side to the left or right (you want the taproot to grow out, then down so it pushes the seed upwards to break the surface. straight down is bad.) aprox 1/4 - 1/2 inch into the peate pellet. Keep a little excess runoff water in the bottom of the humidity dome, and mist the lid of the humidity dome daily. When water evaoprates from the dome lid, mist again.

Couple days after cotelydons (sp? i cant spell for shit) show, remove lid. If you need to, you can carefully carefully carefully help remove any shell that refuses to break away on its own.

Keep peate pellets moist, mist seedlings daily till roots appear. Transplant to pots (can use in hydro. peate will break away over time. you will get peate in your water supply as it breaks down so make sure this doesnt compromise your airation system/pump.)
