has anyone ordered from insidesun.com?

the Econo 400w HPS with Chrome Reflector seems like a good deal for $90.00. but should i get it with chrome reflector or white reflector?

also, the MH conversion bulb seems like a no-brainer for $40.00 because i could use it for veg and then just pop in the included HPS bulb for flowering.

but what about the hortilux bulb upgrade for HPS for $50 more? what is hortilux? is it good? is it worth it?

this'll be my first grow and i'm just planning on doing 2 or 3 plants.

please offer any advice on whether or not this sounds like a good setup.

thanks!

I've read mixed reviews on Inside Sun in the past, but they must do okay by most their customers, or there'd be an avalanche of complaints.

The corner I'd be most concerned about would be the ballast.
Refurbished would scare me.

I'd go for a new ballast with at least a 5 year waranty.
And maybe a longer wall cord than 3.5 feet.
You can upgrade the bulb and reflector later, if need be.

I know this is a noob question, but i haven't been able to find a real straight answer,

is it completely necessary to have separate bulbs for germination/vegetative/flowering stages?

I would say get a new ballast
yes get the MH conversion

and yes the Hortilux is better than the HPS its up to u, I would rather spend the extra money on the ballast than the bulb if money was an issue

thanks a lot for all of the tips. it turns out bghydro is pretty close to me so i'm gonna swing by there this weekend and pick up a 400 watt HPS with a new ballast, hortilux bulb and MH conversion bulb. should be able to get everything for under $300 and i can pay cash, which is always good! i guess everyone is right $90 for a system might be too good to be true. better spend a couple more dollars and get something i know will work.
