I have 600, 1200 and 2000W UVA-B bulbs. (hps type not the flourescent)

which is the most suitable bulb for a 18 Sqft area? (I have 2 X 400hps)

At what stage of flowering should I use it? All the way or last few weeks?

In flowering period, how long should it be on daily?

Whats the suggested distance between those lamps and the plants?

Can there be a major heat issue?

There are downsides of using those lamps. SInce there wont be any filter as in sun beds I can not be in the grow room when it is on eventhough I have protective gogles. This is my major concern about using it.

If you guys think I could have better harvest with those bulbs I will try it for my next grow...

Let me hear your ideas, suggestions

Will need to see the specs for them bulbs to work out the correct distance & things paparose :)

Hope they are proper uv-b bulbs not just high output uv-a fanny teasers :smokin:

As to heat the 300w uv-b bulbs we use don't get that hot themselves, no wasting energy producing red spectrum & the heat that goes with that. ;)

Love to see pics of them bulbs paparose

Soz for me slowness in getting back paparose :o

Human suntan bulbs are useless, they only give off low end uv-b, save the electric!
Reptile lighting bulbs emit high end uv-b at usable levels of intensity for plants.
